I always wanted the official apple case but was not willing to pay $60 for it. I did some research and this case would also fit on my iPad. Luckily it was on sale for around $20! It is not a very protective case, but I only use my iPad sitting at a desk so I am not worried. It is very stable as a stand, the magnets are strong enough you don’t need to worry about it falling off. It is also nice to pop the case off if you don’t want to use the case for some reason.

Yes it costs a small fortune. Yes, one can argue it should cost far, far less. The fact of the matter is, regardless of cost, it’s still the best iPad case out there, for any price. It preserves the experience of using your iPad without a case, and retains the appeal of not fiddling about with any latches or snaps or what have you. It gets out of the way, which is what I was looking for. I hate being reminded that I have a case on my device and altering my use around something that should at best be an afterthought. If you want to take your iPad globe trekking, and sustain drops and falls: don’t buy this. If you want to use your iPad with minimal fuss and keep it semi protected, buy this.

Bought this case for my 4the gen iPad Pro. Found out that it was designed for the 1st gen iPad. It fits the newer iPad Pro but doesn’t fully show the LiDAR Scanner of the iPad Pro. Other than that, the case stays on the iPad and protects it from dust.

This case is well made and it works great for my situation. If you are going to be using your iPad in rough environments you need something tougher as this case leaves three edges and all the corners exposed. I think it is a bit overpriced for what it is but if I lost this cover I would still shell out for this exact model. I like the way it looks and it provides the level of protection I need. My only complaint is that the magnets used should be more powerful. That said, I have very high standards. I literally have to shake the case while open for about 15 seconds to get the iPad to come lose. Even if your hand is holding only the very top while the case is closed and the place where the Apple Pencil charges is facing the ground, I can't get the iPad to fall out. The weak magnets are only an issue if the iPad is not situated properly or if the case is open, and even then it is a small issue.

Perfection! I just replaced my Smart Folio from probably 2019 with this new Smart Folio. Fits just like the original one!! This is for A1980. Make sure you are buying what works with your specific Apple iPad model. My iPad is old, & I was thrilled to find the exact Smart Folio. I would think this new one will last 6 years, just like the old Smart Folio did!!

It has typical apple quality and feel to it. Nice materials. It doesn’t do much in protecting the iPad as it’s rather thin but that’s not why I bought it. It’s sleek and covers the screen when not in use. The back can be folded up to prop the screen while watching. I like the cover because it’s not bulky like my last one. EDIT: I’ve changed my rating from 4 Stars to 1 Star. The cover, which doesn’t see any abuse and is well taken care of, has started to separate at the seam with the material lifting off of the hard board inside. I can’t believe an Apple product that costs this much to protect my very expensive iPad is already falling apart 4 months later. Save your money and don’t buy it. This is coming from a big Apple fan... I’m disappointed.
