Even at 7 years old, if you are an Apple user, this will be better than virtually any Chromebook under $500. I do not sync photos, since they take up a large portion, but I love being able to use iMessage, FaceTime, and the same interface as other Apple products. It is still able to receive updates, and is easy to travel with. I upgraded to Big Sur, which has run well. Mine came with minor scratches and some wear, but overall looks really good. They did provide a new apple MagSafe charger, which is appreciated. All keys worked and are clean, the hinge is decent, and the screen was in perfect condition. The battery life was horrible, so I picked up a replacement at a local store after the one from Amazon never showed. You can get a replacement from reputable third-parties for under $100, that should give several years of additional life to this netbook. I paid only $35 for mine locally. The new battery lasts for about 7 hours for streaming and moderate use, that is not bad! I also purchased thermal paste and updated the paste in the Air, which helped with cooling. I have a MacBook Pro M1 but don't like traveling with it for work (working in schools often yields more wear and tear). This Air is perfect to throw into a case and use for meetings and light tasks on the go. Even between the two, if you are using it mainly for checking emails, writing up documents, etc., the average user will see very little difference in performance. This is not made for gaming, but it can run older computer games without issue, albeit a little hot. If you can get this for $150-200, that is a good deal. I was surprised with an 8gb memory model. If you can find an 8gb memory model, replace the battery, and redo the thermal paste (iFixit has great tutorials), you will likely get 3-5 more years out of this laptop without issue!

Update 08/07/2021 Still with me and working flawless after almost 3 years, every update of iOS has been received thru these years, no issue at all. I was very concerned about buying a refurbished item from Amazon, but after received the MacBook Air yesterday I have changed my mind. First of all let me tell you the item is in great condition, small scuff and dins in the back due to the normal use, display in excellent condition as Keyboard and trackpad. Battery hold the charge for 4 hours, better than expected and described on apple website. I was able to upgrade to IOS Mojave last night without any problem. I've bought a Mosiso plastic hard cover with Keyboard cover for $13 as you can see in picture. In conclusion, despite some bad reviews I can say I got an amazing Macbook for a very good price, that means an excellent deal was made, so I recommended 100% and you can return it anyway if you are not satisfied. The Good, the Bad and the UGLY. First the good. No dents, not cruddy, keys have no wear on them. Battery seems OK. And actually pretty fast The BAD. Plan to spend at LEAST 4-5 hours letting this thing upgrade, and stuff like that. Runs really hot. THIS PC IS NOT SUPPORTED BY APPLE. Nothing works at the app store. The UGLY. While this pc looks nearly perfect, here is what you don't want. An area about 2"x 6" on the top with a name of a school it is the property of. Looks like it was heated up and then an impression was made. NO WAY to remove it. Photo to follow.

Item arrived in blank discreet packaging and was well packaged and well protected. The physical appearance and condition of this MacBook was as close to new as could be and the performance the same. There was not one scuff mark, scratch, smudge, or dent whatsoever. There were two factors that gave away that it was refurbished--battery life doesn't seem to last as long as it should which at this point is not a huge deal, but within 6 mos to a year, may become problematic and require a battery replacement. This isn't a huge deal for me because my husband and I own an iPhone/laptop repair shop and if need be, can perform the replacement of the battery fairly easily and inexpensively. The second is that if you look really closely, it appears possibly that the screen had been replaced due to the rubber around the outside of the screen being slightly out of position and when you open it up, sometimes there is a lot of play and is a tad bit loose only at certain angles, which might actually be normal for MacBook Air laptops. This is my first MacBook so I don't know much about what a brand new one would perform like but far as I am concerned, this was a 100% success and I couldn't be happier with it! I would highly recommend this product by this JemJem Renewed seller to anyone looking to purchase a Next-To-New as possible refurbished MacBook Air or Mac product but not willing to pay retail or Brand New price for it. It is a great bargain and I would definitely purchase it again from there-in fact, I probably will never purchase a brand new Mac product if I can get the same item or similar item for a fraction of the price and basically same condition.

The media could not be loaded. It works perfectly fine for me, doesn’t have any dents. Keyboard works great. The volume is very clear and loud. It doesn’t come charged when you get but everything works very good for a refurbished laptop. The set up was a very easy process
