My puppy keep running downstairs to the garage and biting stuff in garage. I got this gate couple times because the 1st 2 I order was too small. This one fit perfectly on front of my stairs. This is good for small puppy's. But not for big dogs like golden retriever. My puppy stays upstairs now. But since she is now 23 week old, she was able to jump over the gate and get through. So if you have a full grown dog like a golden retriever or German sharper don't get this gate, because they can jump through it. Luckily my dog was able to land on the stairs and not injure herself. This gate is good for smaller dog. No so much for medium and big dog.

Directions included are next to useless — diagrams with little text, no dimensions (mark holes for top and bottom on your wall; no dimension given) and then one side is 27 1/8 and the other is 27 1/2. To add the extensions, one has to remove installed pieces, but no mention of that in the directions. You have to have your handyman cap on straight to get this one done.

I like it , but the first thing you see in the instruction manual is a warning "Never use without wall cups" . . . okay. Then you see a page with how to mount the wall cups, drilling four holes and securing the cups to the wall with the proper anchor. None of the pictures on the website show these cups in use and why would you buy a pressure gate that required securing any parts to the wall/post with anchors??? Needless to say I did not use the anchor cups and the gate is very secure. Purchased for a small dog, 13 lbs, so no worries. Gate opens both ways and has an auto close feature.

This was easy to install - but does help to have a second person to make sure the install is smooth. We put it up in less than 15 minutes. READ the instructions first. There is a gap in the gate that makes it look bent and it's meant to be that way. I'm using this for my dog, and I do wish there was an easy way to prop it open, but I just added a little hook and that works fine.
