This was an upgrade purchase for me coming from the 2021 M1 version. In short, the new M4 version is a little snappier than the M1. I would not recommend upgrading if you are looking for impressive gains in the daily opening and closing of apps. Content creators may see shortened processing times for audio and video files. The surprising benefit I have seen is the Face ID and camera location on the M4. I am left handed. In landscape mode, the left short edge located Face ID sensor on my M1 would fail if my left hand was near the device. This is much better on the M4 with the sensor and camera mounted on the top long edge. Needing to purchase the latest Apple Pencil to be compatible with the new device was a drag and a very Apple thing to do. My previous Apple Pencil worked just fine… I bought this refurbished and experience was great. I am very picky about my equipment and nothing to complain about. Saved some $$ and hopefully keep some devices that might otherwise be needlessly sidelined in use. ... show more
