Being a Mac user … I lean towards Apple for most of my toys. This Apple TV is quick, responsive and the interface beats any other I have tried. I have tried the Fire TV, Roku, and other streaming products. But I still stick with the Apple TV for a couple of reasons. First, it is just cleaner. The icons and setup are just more user friendly IMO. The unit keeps track where you are in your shows. I just appreciate the cleaner look. Also, it does not have the ads that products like the Fire TV have. I also appreciate that Apple has not sold out for that … yet. The setup was easy and cleverly pulled all the apps in that I currently use from my other Apple TVs. The remote has moved to the metal case. Which is great as for my older one. The first time my grandson touched it it cracked and broken. Still worked but just looked like junk. The only negative I have about the remote is that it is too sensitive. I appreciate you taking the time to read this. All in all, I love this Apple TV. The picture and sound are excellent and it exceeded my expectations. Hope this information was helpful. [5 Stars]

So far so good. The Apple TV connected quickly and has a good signal. I’ve watched several tv shows and it didn’t have any problems. This is my third Apple TV and all three are running well.

Edit: I’ve been using the setting to match content frame rate and dynamic range. A feature I’m very excited for. However, my signal will die out. The only way to get it to come back is by cycling the power, or spamming enter until something plays. It’s annoying. I will update my review if this gets fixed. Edit 2: I have found a comfortable work around. Instead of hitting that “home” button while watching a show, I must back out of the show first to the apps selection menu, then I can hit the home button and this issue is non-existent. Edit 3: The endless black screen issues have been resolved. Edit 4: we’ve now started to lose internet performance after the unit runs for about an hour. This is only resolved by restarting the device and it runs great for another hour or two. I have been using Roku devices for so long that I’ve become accustomed to waiting a few moments to boot every app I use. It was an absolute pleasure to plug this in and see apps load INSTANTLY. It was insane to watch. Hulu boots in half a second as opposed to around 10 seconds on my Roku ultra (2021 model).

This has easily replaced all of my Android streaming devices. Its really the fact that I can choose to have a home screen that isn't full to the brim of ads and previews for shows/movies I couldn't care less about. The UI is nice and clean, not too cluttered at all like the Nvidia shield and Amazon firestick. I like that I'm able to use homekit on this to control a ton of my home devices, right from my TV with little extra setup aside from the Home app on the iPhone. I am constantly using this to turn on/off lights, check cameras, turn off/on other devices and control fans. Its really an all in one TV kit that is a lot more powerful that it seems at first glance.

I spent years with a fire TV and after it failed on me and the support basically told me they couldn't do anything I decided I would switch to the Apple TV and I wish I had done it sooner I am so happy with the performance and all of the features. It's by far the best streaming device on the market. The ability to play games and switch between watching youtube or any other streaming app is so quick and flawless. Plus the ability to screen share with my iphone and share stuff between all my devices, this is an easy win EDIT: bought in November, now it’s April. The audio started to glitch out and become delayed every time I tried to watch anything, since it was under warranty Apple replaced it but I had to go into the store once for them to confirm and order replacement and then again to pickup the replacement a couple days later. Now after getting it setup, the old remote they made me keep will not pair, will not factory reset, will not respond other than volume. Waiting for customer service now but I am annoyed with this inconvenience that’s lasted a week now. Taking off a star

I just received the Apple TV today and already set it up. I am comparing this model to the 2021: Storage: It is now 64GB base model vs 2021 32GB base model. Remote: Same exact remote except with USB-C now. Speed: Not too different from the 2021 Model, but you can definitely tell its a bit snappier. I do not play games on my TV, but navigating all the common apps such as Netflix, Hulu, HBO Max, Crunchyroll, Amazon, and DisneyPlus feel much faster to start up. I will say the overall feel of navigation is definitely smoother, but is it a night and day different from the 2021? Not really. In my opinion, this is more of a luxury upgrade rather than a must have. If you play mobile games then its definitely an improvement. Physical: Its smaller like apple has stated, much more low profile. Overall: I bought this as a luxury upgrade so I didn't really need it. But I am happy with the purchase and will end up moving my 2021 model to my bedroom TV. If you are coming from an Apple TV older than the 2021, this is a must for an upgrade as it will be a night and day difference. If you want to save some money and still have a device that's just as snappy as the 2022 model, buy the 2021 when its on sale and you won't regret it.
