This intake ended up being a surprisingly nice upgrade for the MK6 GTI platform, especially considering the price point. Right away the biggest difference was the sound. The turbo noises become much more noticeable without crossing into obnoxious territory, and the induction sound under acceleration gives the car a much more aggressive personality. Fitment on my Gen2 EA888 setup was better than expected overall. Everything lined up properly and the included couplers and clamps felt decent quality instead of the flimsy hardware some budget intake kits include. Installation took around an hour taking my time, and I didn’t run into any major headaches besides needing to slightly reposition one clamp for clearance. Performance-wise, throttle response feels a little sharper and the engine seems to breathe more freely at higher RPM. I’m not claiming massive horsepower gains from a simple intake, but the car definitely feels more lively during spirited driving. The intake pipe finish also looks clean in the engine bay and gives things a more polished aftermarket appearance. One recommendation is double-checking all clamps after a few heat cycles because silicone couplers tend to settle slightly after initial installation. Overall this is a very solid intake kit for MK6 GTI owners wanting better sound, cleaner engine bay aesthetics, and a slightly more responsive driving experience without spending ridiculous money.

I picked this up for my husband’s MK6 GTI, and he was excited to give it a try. The kit looks good right out of the box, with a clean finish and sturdy construction. This is the perfect cold air intake kit for my husband's golf! He had been wanting to put one of these on there so as soon as we saw this when we had to scoop it up. This came very well packed and secured and everything was exactly as described even down to the measurements so it all fit as expected and matched up. Very well made very heavy duty great quality and he said the instillation was very simple and straightforward if you know what you are doing. All you have to do is take it step by step and you're good to go! Truly no complaints! He loves the way it sounds and is now! Amazing product and definitely worth every penny! Solid 10 out of 10

I installed this intake on my MK6 GTI and the difference in sound was immediate. It gives the car a much more aggressive intake tone without being overly loud, and you can really hear the turbo spool more clearly. Throttle response feels a bit sharper and the engine seems to breathe better, especially at higher RPMs. Fitment was good overall and installation was pretty straightforward. Overall, a fun upgrade if you want better sound and a little extra driving enjoyment from your GTI.
