Very easy to assemble. Good software and hardware. So far everything has been good. Only had it about a month and have done about 30 hrs. of printing. This is my first time ever using a 3D printer and I'm 64. If I can figure it out and get good prints anybody can.

Update- the customer support team for the product reached out to us through e-mail, after the dropped calls. They have spent a lot of time working with us and helping fix the issue. I would highly recommend this product just from that effort that was taken. Our printer is up and running again and so far, so good with no jamming. Thanks again customer support we appreciate it! It was great at first but as others have said you spend more time trying to fix it than you do printing. The filament jams basically after every print. The most recent time my husband was taking it apart to clean it a piece that he wasn't even near fell off making a part unusable. We can not find the piece anywhere to replace it. We have tried contacting customer support and they continue to start the conversation and then end it without resolving any issues. So far we have a $400 paper weight until we can try and find a replacement. ... show more

    • Great Print Quality & Speed, But Maintenance Is a Chore

TL;DR: Overall, this is a great printer. The design is a definite step up in terms of footprint, love the fast/quiet operation, the 4x spool capacity, and printing quality—but like all printers, it comes with its own unique set of challenges. The Kobra X is definitely an improvement over the Kobra 3 V2. Having both—as well as a Snapmaker U1—gives me a pretty diverse perspective as a small shop owner. My first major observation regarding the Kobra X is its maintenance difficulty. Despite being an open printer, all the covered mechanical parts make accessing components a challenge. The V2 is much superior in this regard. Maintenance is crucial for long-term reliability, so spending extra time just trying to get inside an open printer feels like unnecessary work. Quality-wise, the printer is great at hitting high speeds while delivering decent results. Between the Kobra X and the V2, I can crank out parts quickly. However, that performance depends heavily on the model's shape. On perfectly round models, I've noticed that default settings leave subtle "burps" on the outer wall when using Anycubic filaments. While these minor visual artifacts wouldn't bother everyday users, they are annoying for me since I demand ultra-high-quality outer layers. This requires multiple manual tweaks to resolve. I really wish the printer or slicers featured smarter, tech-driven filament detection to automatically manage pressure advance and flow ratios without having to constantly tune. While it is generally required to do calibrations with test prints, it's time consuming. The real issue is that not all filaments are created equal; while a majority print fine, there's always that one filament requiring extra calibration that ultimately drains time away from my modeling work. Why is the camera positioned so horribly? Camera tech is cheap these days and the quality of the footage and design of the camera is pathetic. Anycubic should consider this going fwd. ... show more

This is our first 3D printer and we’ve really enjoyed it! It was easy to assemble and get running. The app is user friendly and has an extensive library of prints you can start with. It also has a desktop slicer app for modifications and more custom prints. We’ve printed about 12 things of various sizes and complexity so far. All have been great and it seems to be a very reliable printer. Overall this is a great value for this printer and I’d recommend it to anyone looking to start. ... show more

    • Spend more time repairing than printing

1st printer they sent worked fine for about 10 prints. Then all of a sudden it wouldn't feed the filament anymore saying it was clogged. Took it apart 6 times, cleaning it, trying to figure out wtf is going on. Got it to work but wouldn't do multiple colored prints, it would have to be only one color because in between switching colors, it would say it was clogged. Finally tired of messing with it and reported to customer service that it's not working. They sent another one, set it all up, but this one thinks it's feeding the filament and is printing absolutely nothing. I'm just frustrated with this thing and have wasted so much time trying to get it to work. I have 2 choices, have them send another pos machine or return it and buy a more expensive unit since I spent $300 on all this filament.
