Overall a solid unit with the following pros: -Makes nugget ice that's smooth and not rock hard. -Solid construction and super easy to setup. -The drain plug on the bottom of the unit also seemed to form a good seal and easy to remove and put back on. -The ice nuggets remained consistent and when the basket was used the unit refilled with more ice automatically. Depending on if you plan on moving it around the unit is on the heavier side so keep that in mind. For our needs it works great!

I have only had this ice maker for about a week. It performs beautifully. The texture of the ice was just as described. I really like the fact that I can control the water to be used so I know what I am getting. If I had to give a downside, it would be that the instructions were clearly written by a non-native English speaker. Having said that, I was still able to figure out that I needed to clean the machine first before I used it and everything that I needed to know. It’s just that some places in the booklet are obscure, and I had to read it over several times to get the full gist of it. So far, I like it very well.

Package was delivered upside down which is harmful to the refrigerant and compressor oil in the machine. I left it sitting upright for 24hrs before touching it. The machine does not make true nugget ice. It makes tiny ice chips, but not the nice cylindrical ice like the more expensive machines which is dissapointing considering it advertised as making the true nugget ice. This ice is not as easy to chew and does not absorb drink flavor like true nugget ice. For over $100, I expected what was advertised. Unfortunately, returning is too much of a hassle so hopefully it will at least work for a long time. I also couldnt get all of the plastic film out of of cracks of the outside of the machine. The instructions were clear and easy to read and cleaning is easy since the entire top comes off.

The machine runs fairly quietly, and the noise level is totally acceptable—not disruptive at all. The ice cubes are uniform in size and fairly solid, not the kind that melt instantly. They work great for cooling drinks.
