This item is a 12,000 BTU Window-based air conditioner. t comes with everything you need to be successful at getting it installed including the unit, an expandable window shade, foam seal insulation, a remote (batteries included) and some hardware to hold it in place. This window unit will easily fit most modern single and double-hung windows. It leverages a standard 110v outlet with the power cord including an inline GFCI. There are two vents in the front that expels the cold air and a large aluminum fin heatsink in the back to draw the exchanged heat through. The unit has an LED panel on the front with a small set of control buttons including; Power, Fan Speed, Timer, Sleep, Mode Selection, Temperature Up & Down Selections, and a filter reset. The display has a listing of Fan speeds on the left and a list of available modes on the right. The selected option for each will be highlighted with a blue dot next to it. The remote control has basically the exact same controls as those found on the unit itself. As for operating the unit, it is very intuitive. Basically, you can select if you want to engage the cooling mechanism or just leverage the fan, and then set the expected speed and temperature as needed. The cord to plug it in is about 6-feet in length. When the fan speed is on high it can be loud but the low speed would be very easy to sleep through. The unit does cooldown quickly and provides cold air in a very short period of time. I have chosen to rate this product 5-stars. Overall, it cools down very quickly and the fan can push a great deal of air. The only negative of this unit is that it can get loud on HIGH. Other than that, it works great and I'd recommend. Criteria for Stars: 1 - Total rip off, doesn't perform basic advertised functions or not product advertised. I would likely RETURN and would NEVER recommend. 2 - Not worth the money. Performs some of the basic advertised functions, but likely not all, and ultimately was deemed as not providing enough value for the money spent. I would not buy again, and would likely not recommend unless the buyer had a very specific use case. 3 - It performs the basic functions as advertised, and has some usefulness at the price point, but doesn't work for all of the reasons I purchased. I would likely not buy again, and would only recommend if buyer understood usefulness limitations. 4 - It performs most all of the features I purchased it for, but has limitations. I would likely buy again and would recommend. 5 - Completely as advertised and likely exceeded expectations. Is of high quality and well shipped. I would totally buy again and recommend.

Considering it is 12,000 BTU, I was actually surprised the air conditioner wasn't heavier. Inside the box I was debating how much help I was going to need to lift it up to the third floor window where I intended to install this. Once it was out of the box, it was manageable. Still heavy, but not unwieldy. The unit cools down quickly and does everything you want an AC unit to do. I was worried about how heavy it would be against the double pane windows, so I waited for an air conditioner support bracket before I went to install it. I'm glad I did. It probably would be fine without the support, but it felt more comfortable with the support. I ended up with one complaint about this unit and it relates to the noise. I often run bedroom AC units on dehumidify or fan only. The lower humidity or air circulation is often enough for me. I expect fans to be reasonably quiet and am not inclined to ding the rating based on air noise. That just comes with the territory. However, it was inexplicable to me that when the fan needed to run indoors, the unit kept turning on the fan which blew on the heating coils outside. That doubled the noise level and on a fan mode it made no sense to me. While it's true I hadn't attached the wings to the unit yet while I was testing how it would fit and handle, those little plastic accordions do little to dampen the sound. That part was really disappointing. I guess I'll have to go with cooling and completely shut it off each time. Feels like a missed opportunity, but since the fan isn't the main function of the unit, I'm not dinging the rating.

This AC replaced a lower btu but larger body air conditioner and was immediately impressed with its smaller size. Comes with everything you need except for a phillips. In the box is the main unit, instructions, screws, and side shades. Side shades are easy to mount just pull the middle of the shade till is over hangs the frame then you will be able to slide it down the rail to the bottom do that to each side and you are ready to put this beast in the window. Took about 15 mins to mount it and get the shades aligned to power on. The included remote works well and comes with batteries. The noise level of the air condition is quieter than the one I replaced even on its high fan setting. Overall design is pretty similar to other acs all buttons are clear and easy to press and the LCD display is easy to read. The temperature control is easy to understand and operate. I have set it to 70 on auto eco and have not had to change it. This AC also has dehumidifier, and fan modes. The filter is easy to access and clean off and put back in. The included remote also works well but will be going in a drawer since I just leave it on auto. The vents are easy to adjust up and down and the fins put the air left, middle, or right. Overall great AC that cools down my whole kitchen and hallway.

Nice looking a/c unit ice cold air but it is so loud couldnāt figure out where loud vibration was coming from, turns out itās the filter screen will never purchase this brand again thatās my opinion I could have gotten the lemon.

This thing is so ****ing unbelievably loud! It's maddening! I purchased this to replace my old clunker, and my old one wasn't anywhere near this noisy. The worst part is that the insane amount of noise comes from the fan alone. The actual AC isn't all that loud, just a moderate hum. But the fan makes an insane amount of noise, even on low. If you don't wanna have a psychotic break, don't purchase this.
