These lights are fantastic! I’ve been really impressed with how long the battery lasts—it’s been weeks and they’re still going strong with regular use. That alone makes them worth it. I have several of these tail lights. First of all - I'm pretty sure it is powered by alien technology because although it says 50 hours of run time in the description - I've 100% used it way longer than that without charging it. It is currently March and the last time I charged this light was in the fall some time - I've used it a bunch of times since then - and TWO DAYS ago I accidentally left it on in mode 3... just checked and it is STILL FLASHING!!! That is like 48 hours later.... how? HOW?!! Someone said, 'Can I give it 6 stars?'... and I can not agree more. This is literally the best purchase you will make for your bike ever. Buy one for all of your bikes. And no, this is not a paid review. I just really love this thing. (FYI, I always use mode 3 - the flashing mode that gets brighter when you stop. I can't say how the other modes do on the battery life.)

So, I love this light for some very specific reasons: 1) the build quality seems very good - aluminum body and bracket; 2) big enough to give out enough lumens and multi-mode lighting; 3) rechargeable battery; 4) most importantly - which is why I bought it - I wanted something that I could semi-permanently screw/mount to my bike rack so I didn't have to worry about losing it, having to take it on/off and it would be there whenever I needed it. I was about to purchase the Blue Lug KOMA from another online retailer (I had waited 3 months for it to come back in stock) but it is smaller, less bright, less lighting modes and a lot more money - $50 with shipping! After looking around I found this light and thought - hoped - that I could retro fit it to bolt to my rack and it worked great. I had to remove the mounting braket with two tiny screws....BUT that wasn't easy - they are small, easy to strip, and they were probably lock-tited on there....but I got them out and the bracket off. If I hadn't been able to get them out, I would have just had to use it like any other strap-mounted light - which would have been fine, but not why I chose this particular light. Then all I had to do was to drill a small hole through the aluminum mounting base, and attach it to the rack - which is why I bought this light - the METAL base - so I could drill through it and not deal with any plastic crap mounted light. Did it void any warranty? Probably yup. Do I care? Nope - it is mounted exactly where I want and how I needed it, at a fraction of the cost of the KOMA. I will probably buy one or two more to put on my other bikes. I can't speak to the long-term durability, battery life or anything else (other people have already reviewed that), but for the price and my specific needs, this is a 6-star buy. After my bicycle was stolen from in front of the grocery store, I purchased a new bicycle and accessories. I do not need a light for the bicycle since I rarely ride at night, and I happened to stumble upon this product during my search for accessories (TBH, I didn’t even know you could get an alarm for a bicycle until I saw this product). I think I’ve used the light once in the past year that I have had this on my bicycle, and I cannot comment on the brake light function since it is mounted below my seat facing backwards and cannot be seen while riding. I can comment on the alarm function which is the sole reason I made this purchase, and I have found it very satisfactory. I know that an alarm is a theft deterrent and not a preventive, but I do feel that my bicycle is just that much more secure when locked up outside, especially when I ride to the grocery store where I had my old bicycle stolen. The battery lasts for several months (I have been using this product for more than a year and have only needed to recharge it once), and when the battery was running low, it made a unique noise when I turned it on, but I did not recharge it until it stopped working altogether. The mount is easy to install, and the light in held in place with a screw and is easy to remove but time consuming enough that a thief cannot simply remove the alarm after it begins to sound. The alarm itself is quite loud (I once had the misfortune of accidentally tripping the alarm), and the unit appears to be quite durable having had to withstand rain and harsh sun during this past year and has done so without any decline in its function. Now for the things that need improvement. It’s nice that the remote can be mounted to the handlebars so that I can turn the light on or sound the horn while riding, however, after parking my bike and turning on the alarm, there is no great way to carry it, and on more than one occasion, it has gotten lost in the bottom of my bag. They should mount a ring on the bottom of the remote and provide a clip that could be attached to a keyring so I could clip this to my keys while I’m shopping. Secondly, the mount was not designed for a seat the size of mine. The product comes with 2 types of mounts - under the seat or to the seat post. I have a narrow seat, and the under-seat mount was too wide to fit on the seat rails of my bicycle. I therefore mounted it to the seat post, but this mount was made for a larger diameter seat post, and I had to use a couple of pieces of styrofoam between the mount and my seat post to get a good fit. I also found that there was just barely enough room between the bottom of my seat and the top of the rack I have mounted to back wheel for this to fit, and trying to reach the screw to remove the alarm to recharge it meant performing a bit of a contortionist routine - fortunately I only had to do this once so far, and I probably should not complain about it as it adds to the security of the device. Because of the tight space where I have this mounted, the light is directed towards the ground as there is not enough room to turn it up that little bit more that is necessary for the light to be directed straight behind me (it’s a good thing I do not actually need the light itself). Despite its shortcomings, this is a very good product, and I would recommend this to anyone who needs to leave their bike unattended.

Easily mounts under the seat. It feels secure, and like a less likely target for theft. The light itself screws off nicely when you need to charge it, or just take it with you. I like that it's rechargeable via USB-C. It holds a charge for a VERY long time. My only complaint is that I wish it was a touch brighter. It is visible enough for many uses, but maybe lacking for some specific circumstances.
