I have not found one of these types of DVR systems that is perfect. Plus they are limited to the picture quality due to the type of cable you use. I had already run 16 cameras worth of cable and was not going to try and re-do everything to Cat 6, so I decided to try and find the best set up. I initially bought the Night Owl system. But what a nightmare getting it to connect to my phone and or the PC. So tweaky and constant issues. Tech support was great, but had to call too often. After a number of years I said this is a joke, I need to try something else. I switched to the Zosi system and found that it was great. Easier to use and easier to set up. BUT, after a few years the system started having issues. Constant dropping, harder to connect, harder to keep connected and picture quality was pretty bad. SO, I decided to give one more system a shot. I just picked the Annke system off of some reviews. I have only had it for about 1 month, but in that time I am very impressed. It will load live views of all of my cameras at one time. It was a dream to install and so so so much better than the previous two systems....by a mile. Picture quality is what it is, but I am very happy with this system....the only reason why I went out of my way to write this review. If your set up is like mine and have battled other systems, you will love this one.

I LOVE this DVR. It is the 5th CCTV DVR I have owned in the past 15 years and it is far above all the others. SUPER easy to navigate the menus, search motion trips, and playback videos. Very little work to quickly go through all the motion trips. I can go quickly and directly to any period of time down to the second to playback video. Speed up and slow down are simple, plus zoom with the mouse wheel. The human/vehicle detection works like a charm to eliminate false trips, especially at night when there are bugs or bats flying past the cameras. It will still detect larger objects like bears or cats especially if they are closer in. I'm accurately detecting cars driving past my gate 150 feet away with my analog cameras. Although I haven't spent much time with it, the remote software is also simple to install and use. It was all automatic steps to install. I just carefully followed each step on the monitor screen.

This is one of the best Dvr I have ever purchased in the pass 15 years. Clean and clear I've never got on any of my DVR from ZOSI. I had to reorder it for my businesses

Installing this system was easy in regards to the analog cameras. I didn't encounter any problems until I decided to try installing the IP cameras that the system also offers. I bought 2 Annke 5MP cameras that match the DVR model, but they were extremely difficult to install. I reached out to tech support, to which was useless. Don't even bother with their "live chat," they don't even respond to you! I finally figured it out on my own with the help of a YT self-help video. In short, good system- if you don't need any tech support. **Update** Annke did reach out to me again to better the situation. I told them I found a workaround- I installed the cameras via my iphone instead of going through the DVR. The IP cameras have memory slots to record, so it does the same thing, essentially. Customer support offered me a free IP camera as a gesture of goodwill, and I agreed that it was fair deal.

Perfect replacement

So our DVR for our security cameras crapped out. The cameras were fine, just needed a new DVR. We bought this as a replacement. It worked great for about 3 weeks then suddenly only 4 of our 9 cameras had a picture. One camera is showing an image, but it’s all weird colors. We contacted customer service. They said we’d be sent an email with a number to call for support. The number was for the What’s App, but it was coming from China & we had to pay international calling charges if we called. So we are completely screwed & out $200 for this piece of junk. Do not buy!!!!

Bought to replace another DVR that had software that was supported for remote viewing. Easy hookup with useable remote viewing software. iPhones iPads and MacBook. Yes the back ports are too close together they are useable.
