I have a 2017 Ford C-Max and the issue was that the largest bracket was not long enough to reach around the clamp down and keep the cross bars from sliding. Not a bad product, just didn’t fit my vehicle even though is said “this product fits your vehicle”. So it wasn’t the product, just a poor fit for my naked roof. If the distance from your rain gutter to the door frame is any more than 3 inches it won’t work. ... show more

    • Piece of Garbage!
Opening the box I was worried because the instruction page, yes one page, was not well written. I am mechanically inclined so I figured it out. How about a QR code to a video on installing? Then when I went to install the rack, the carriage bolts did not fit the plastic recesses and stripped them out. Shouldn’t the recesses be reenforced with steel? I went to the local hardware store and bought all new fasteners and even then it was not a snug fit to the vehicle. One trip down the highway and the rear bar could come flying off potentially putting the car behind me in danger. Learn from my mistake and spend more money and get a better model. ... show more

    • WHATEVER YOU DO, GET A BETTER PRODUCT.
Wish I could give this negative stars… First off, directions weren’t there, but a straightforward install. Bought it to transport my 75lb kayak. First trip with kayak on rack was great, second trip didn’t go as planned. I made sure to tighten all crank knobs before starting my drive. The wife and I went to go fishing at the coast and after 20 minutes of driving realized we no longer had the kayak/roof rack bars. 20 minutes of back tracking, we found the kayak (pretty much destroyed) and the roof rack bars. They slid right off of my vehicle. I know good and well I had the right metal “plates” (whatever you call the things used to secure it to the vehicle) attached and firmly at that. $1000 in kayak damages, scratched up roof of my truck and a bad taste in my mouth after speaking so highly of them. AVOID THIS PRODUCT AT ALL COST! ... show more

    • The plastic feet are garbage....
The only good parts are the aluminum rails....The hardware is not the right size ...The cheese bolt is cheesy at best...I could have made it work if the feet were made out of metal....Was a waste of money...But I will re-purpose the parts into something else.....
