    • Nice meter to use around the home and electronics.
I purchased this meter for use around the house, garage, and with electronics. I have not used it enough to try it for panel work. I am an electrical engineer and use higher quality meters at work that are rated for much higher currents and voltages. I like the design of this meter. I made a few measurements at low currents and voltages using this meter and my work meter. The measurements were comparable. I would recommend it especially testing circuits in electronics, to determine if a circuit is voltage, and for work on cars. My advice to everyone is if you are not sure about any electrical wires, get expert advice. Current and voltage always has the potential for serious injuries or death. ... show more

I do HVAC service work. I was looking another meter for my spare tool bag and needed a small meter. Been testing it for about a week, it's been working pretty well. The screen is easy to see, it's lightweight, I like the auto range. A few minor things in bright sunlight the screen is hard to read sometimes. Sometimes on checking smaller amp motors you have to hold the wire just right to get a reading. I had to glue some magnets on back of meter. It won't replace my FP meter but it works. ... show more

    • It's a Tiny Lil Thang.. But surprisingly cool and accurate
First off let me just say that this thing is Tiny. The person that does the videos on YouTube and on Amazon must be a midget because in order for those hands to make this unit look big they must be some tiny midget hands. That being said. I ordered this unit kind of more as a backup unit to my fluke meter. Admittedly I must say , It was more of a cool Factor order than anything else. The large LED screen and all the bells and whistles really got my attention. BUT....... After putting it through some trials, LIKE.... checking my AC start run capacitor, using the Live Wire feature and the ncv feature, swapping out a few light switches for smart switches with it, Etc, this turned out to be a pretty functional accurate Little meter. Build quality wise, is it close to a fluke or a higher end meter? NOOOO.... I have dropped my fluke more times than I can remember from varying Heights and it took it like a champ every time. Do I think this meter would be able to withstand drops? Probably not... Okay Of course not! Obviously if you are an electrician or someone that uses a meter on a daily basis then this meter would not work for you. But if you're a hobbyist or a Home user or some that does projects around the house or garage that may require a meter then this meter is great. Easy to read for those with vision problems, the audio beeps are fairly loud and easy to distinguish. The pickup on the "auto" detect function to switch between volts amps, microfarads , current Etc is fairly fast surprisingly. Also a very cool feature to have because it saves you time having to switch between the functions manually.. I did shave off a point because of the cheaply made non-padded carrying case / bag that it comes in . Cannot speak to the longevity of the unit but out of the box I can recommend it.. 👍👍👍 Up.. ... show more

I liked this instrument as soon as I opened the box and saw the compact size and the great assorted probe kit. I measured DC accuracy with an Analog Devices DC Voltage reference at 2.5V, 5.0V, 7.5V, and 10.0V. The readings were all accurate, within a few milliVolts of the applied Voltage. It does work and requires some learning to understand how to read different scales and how to manually set a scale that you want to hold. If you have never used an automatic range switching meter before, you must learn to wait for the software to decide what you are trying to do before it gives a reading. You cannot expect the Voltmeter to figure out that you connected the probes together to see if the meter will read 0.000Volts when shorted. It will think you are trying to measure Ohms, and switch to Ohmmeter mode and report 0.0 Ohms. I like the AC and DC current measurements with the inductive sensor. The package of leads is generous, all work well except the four alligator clips. The threaded mount that is crimped into the end of each clip is barely held in place. All are ready to fall apart as soon as you screw it into the lead holder. Do yourself a favor and just throw all four alligator clips into your junk box. I ordered a good set of banana to alligator wires with big strong insulated clips from "Sumnacon" brand here on Amazon. Unfortunately, I waited too long to take this meter outside. I was shocked to see that in outdoor light, the display is completely unreadable. I never found a backlight function. It can only be used in low light indoors. I have an ancient Radio Shack inductive DC ammeter with an old fashioned LCD display showing black numbers on grey background. It still works perfectly in ANY light. I decided to keep this meter and all the nice leads for indoor use and ordered a MESTEK meter with a conventional black LCD display for use outdoors. ... show more
