This replaced the stock deck in my 2005 Lexus ES330. There is one picture of how the old one looked, which had a cassette player and CD changer. Then, you can see how the new one looks and how the new trim plate matches both in color and fit. Installation was very easy. The company emailed me a diagram sheet specific to my car and the new stereo. Everything just plugs right in. There was no need to modify any of the existing wiring, simply plug it in where the diagram shows. The GPS and 4G antennas are both behind the stereo, stuck to the underside of the dash. I didn't show the external microphone nor the USB ports. The microphone cable is routed under the interior trim, behind the glove box, up the a-pillar, across the top of the windshield, and then stuck with adhesive to the ceiling. The only place the wire shows is between the rear view mirror and the windshield, so you don't really see it at all. The USB ports are in the glovebox. I don't think I'll ever use them, but they are there. This one came bundled with a backup camera. I have not yet installed that, because that will require more effort to run the wires and attach the camera, but I will post an update whenever I get it installed and figure out all the settings. Performance-wise, the sound quality was a huge surprise! It is so much better than the OEM deck; I can hear a fuller range of sound. The old one only had bass/mid/treb settings, whereas this one has a nice equalizer app that allows for much more precise control and well-balanced output of all frequencies. The integration to phones is just as good as any of my newer cars. We have three drivers' phones registered to this, and it connects quickly without any manual intervention when the car is started. Initially, music from my phone came through very loud, giving me only a small volume range; however, I found a power compensation setting and turned it all the way down, which allows me to use the regular volume range on the device. Take the time to explore the various settings available. I'm not going to detail them all, but there are a lot of useful settings and some fun ones as well. Watch the video I posted to see more, particularly how to map your steering wheel buttons.

Great Value

Installed this in my 2004 ES330 two days ago, and overall it’s a fantastic value. Apple CarPlay works flawlessly with zero audio lag in calls or music. Installation was very straightforward thanks to the YouTube video linked through the QR code in the instructions(make sure to watch both the install on the radio and the linked backup camera). I also love that you can fully customize the backup-camera guide lines—great feature. A quick note on the install: The YouTube video in the instructions is helpful, but the backup-camera wiring is explained incorrectly. The camera has a red/yellow trigger wire, and the video connects it to the 12V CAM wire behind the head unit. That is incorrect—it needs to go to the REVERSE wire so the head unit knows when to switch to the camera. I’m using the CANBUS, and once I rewired it to the REVERSE line, everything worked perfectly. My only complaint is the phone-call audio quality. Music through CarPlay sounds great through all the speakers, but phone-call audio sounds thin—almost like it only uses the front speakers with no bass. Hard to describe, and I may upload a video comparison. It’s possible I still have something wired wrong, but as of now, call audio is noticeably worse than music audio. Overall: great unit, excellent features for the price, smooth CarPlay, and a much-improved backup-camera experience. Just be prepared to double-check the camera wiring and possibly troubleshoot call audio.

Good but...

This helped me sell my car. Only problem with this is that it disconects once in a while or it wont let you connect. The trick is to swipe down from the top and press restart. Other than that its easy to use and i would say value for money its the best head unit for these lexuses on amazon.

Check factory amp to make sure its still operable or youll have no sound

It's spot on and looks great , take your time to see what you will keep . If its an 05 lexus es330 make sure your amp is still good , mines was not so I have no sound and dont want to by pass the factory amp . Great upgrade to that oem stereo. Aloha 🤙🏾🤙🏾

There’s some good news and bad news

The first few weeks, it was great. It connected well, I could use my fav navigation app (Waze) and play music from any app. About a month into having it, the screen was going out while I was driving and then I’d heave to use my phone for navigation. The Bluetooth would go in and out and disconnect even though the phone was linked and nothing was done for it to disconnect. It has a lot of great features but there seems like o be a connectivity issue. When it works, it’s awesome. For me personally, I had to give it 3 stars because I’m on the road often and my drives are long so this was a pretty big let down. Otherwise, the fit is perfect for my car, the sound is great and it has all of the control features you’d want. The downside is that the features don’t always function. At this price point, I would recommend it for anyone that doesn’t drive more than 30 minutes. I wouldn’t recommend it for anyone that plans to use it for long road trips or has a crazy commute. You’ll want something more reliable for that. I’ll also add that the backup camera connectivity might also be an issue. I’ve noticed on rainy days, I get some lines though the image. It makes me think maybe the quality of the wiring used for this should be improved. Overall it’s decent for the price.

I am one of those people who never ever leave reviews but this product and seller are excellent! The quality of the plastic trim and tablet itself is much more than I expected. It’s very sturdy and sleek. Everything fit perfectly. The wiring harness’ needed are all in the package. I had everything installed and working in less than an hour. The sound quality of this unit is very impressive as well. With internal amp controls and surround sound options, you can really adjust to your liking. I have additional subwoofers and amps in the car and the controls on this unit have brought new life to my system. The tablet itself is fast and responsive so you don’t need to worry about screen lag because that doesn’t happen here! I didn’t use the 4G SIM card adapter, but you can easily connect to your cell phone wireless hotspot. YouTube Netflix, Amazon video HBO Max whatever it all works!! You also have full access to Google play store so you can basically download any app. The seller had reached out to me even before the product has shipped letting me know that if I needed any help, they were there. I did have to reach out one time, but it was my own error in installation. They responded within five minutes. Excellent customer service. I will 100% recommend this product from this seller.

Bad glue but great fit and finish.

Overall a great upgrade for this car with seamless install and looks stock when completed. It was nice adding a solid blue tooth and rear backup camera to this car. Downside is in the summer when the car is hot the screen moves around as if whatever adheres the screen to the unit let's loose under normal heat. Also there's no sound to the rear speakers. The wire diagram shows where the rear speaker wires should be in the harness and they are not there. It makes sense that there wouldn't be sound as a result of that, but why wouldn't you include them in the harness? Also, the internal cooling fan doesn't work at. Would've returned it if it was within the 30-Day return window. I'm stuck with it but I'll live. I'll change my review if someone reaches out to give me some assistance, but I doubt that will happen. There's also a great install video on YouTube about this unit which was helpful.
