I picked these based on great reviews and was not disappointed. I wear a women’s 10 in non-athletic shoes and a 10.5 wide in athletic shoes. Amazon recommended a 10, and I’m glad I got the 10.5 wide. I can lace them tight for a nice fit, and they don’t press on my bunion. Pros - Not heavy, but feel sturdy enough for rough terrain, snow and ice - Beautiful color and red accents - Don’t make my big ole feet look too big - Comfortable from the minute I put them on Con - Insole is glued down tightly and not removable. All shoe manufacturers should make their insoles removable!

Comfortable and rugged boots!

Love these hiking boots. Perfect fit, sturdy, protects the ankles. Great for any and all outdoor adventures. I used them while stomping around a farm and working with animals, hiking through the woods/light late season snow, and doing intense yard work around the house. The grip is great for hiking along slippery rocks, my feet feel comfortable and supported, and I absolutely love the bright orange color. Only challenging part is the laces come undone a lot, but tucking them in or double knotting seems to hold them well. If you’re unsure, get them!!!

Comfy, quality boots at a great price
So I did a huge no-no and bought these boots right before a vacation in the Pacific Northwest and broke them in during the trip. These were as good quality as other Columbias I’ve worn and I’m so glad I made that last minute purchase. I have flat, wide feet and this pair conformed to the shape immediately. They provided good ankle support, traction, and protection from chilly weather and water. I did plenty of walking and climbing on different surfaces: wet and dry sand, damp grass, dirt trails, smooth moss-covered rocks, smooth rocks in shallow water, steep muddy paths, driftwood piles. The boots were reliable for each situation. The mud and sand pretty much fell off after they dried so the waterproofing on the surface works well. I highly recommend these for sturdiness, instant comfort, and the range of cute color combos. And the price is very reasonable, perfect for casual, occasional hiking.
