Trust me. I have tried Sooo many of these cradles. I used to use the magnetic bit didn't like the magnet in or on my case. I have tried 3-4 different vent clips. This vent cradle is by far the best! I actually tried the previous version for this brand and Loved it but ended up in my moms car. You can't take it away from your mother of she likes it! I didn't want to spend $20 for another one so I bought a cheap one from Aukey. It just would not stay clipped. most phones are heavier and bigger now a days so the design just didn't work. So, I got fed up and decided to Invest in what I know works. And that is the Andobil version. I was about to bit the old version which was also a vent clamp or like a pinch on the blade... but this version actually looked more practical for my needs. See this version actually hooks on to the blade AND has these anchors for leverage and provides sturdiness. My car vent is a bit weird so I didn't have time find the right position. This is by far the best $20 spent on a cradle. Worth it. Remember... I did not want to spend $20 and ended up wasting more money. I use a galaxy s20 + and is a bit heavier and larger than my old phone. This cradle is a fit for the phones now and the future. ... show more

    • Usable on most cars as long as your ac vent is sturdy.

I liked the design but have some small usability problems. This mount is good for a semi-permanent installation. This phone mount uses a hook and adjustable pad to firmly grab ahold of and secure itself to a pane of my cars ac vents. The hook is made of metal and the adjustable pad is tightened by twisting the base of the mount. Very easy to use. The mount will only be as steady as your ac vents are sturdy. The mount itself is made of a light plastic. It holds up well but still flexes a bit. The grip consists of soft rubber pads on the arms and on the adjustable base. The pads on the arms are hollow which allow for better grip. The grip arms are released by pressing a small button below the left grip arm. I would prefer the release button be located on top like all my other mounts. The bottom grip upon which the phone rests can be adjusted to change the center of balance or accommodate larger phones. I was not able to adjust this on my pixel 4 because moving the phone down blocks and stops me from using the volume rocker on my phone. I have used this on my 2007 Rav4. This is the best phone mount I have found for this car so far. Though the angle of the ac vent doesn't let me tilt my phone as much as I would like. I have tried this phone mount on a 2015 nissan sentra and 2002 mazda miata. The mount worked perfectly on the sentra but I will be looking for something sturdier and window mounted for the miata. ... show more

Packaging is very clean, well presented, and classy. It follows the Apple product idea that it’s a pleasure to receive and open your purchase. I wasn’t sure at first that this would be secure int the vent but you’ll see from the 4th picture that there is an adjustment dial that allows the “hook” to be tightened. Once the holder is installed this creates a solid 3 point holder for the phone and I’m quite happy with how secure it is. I have an iPhone 12 Pro and it firs fantastic. One thing to note is that in my truck the gear shift on the steering column is too close to the vent so I cannot mount it right there and instead have to use the left side vent or a passenger vent. Not a big deal but something to be aware of. This is my 2nd Andobil phone product (I have bike phone mounts) and once again I’m thrilled with the product and their customer service!     • I Found The Last Vent Mount I will Ever Need!

I have now purchased about 5 different car vent-attaching phone mounts. I believe I have finally found the last AND BEST one so far. Every other design I've used from other companies has immediately (or eventually) fallen off in abrupt turns or quick stops. Not this one. This one has a design that works with any vent, no matter the vehicle or vent type. It is truly the best design I have ever found for this purpose. If I could give it an additional star, I would. Yes, it's that good. This is a purchase you will not regret! The price is absolutely fantastic, and this deserves to be added to the "Amazon's Choice" category. The only reason it isn't is because it isn't the cheapest - BUT hear me out - you can purchase one or more of those cheap alternatives per year, or just ONE of these. This company makes solid, sturdy, affordable products. I need to get one for my wife's car now.... ... show more

There's really no greater compliment to a product than purchasing another one. That's the case here. I purchased my first Andobil (Car Phone Mount Easy Clamp) in January 2020 and mounted it to my dash. I love that thing! It holds my phone securely and it's easy to use - even with my OtterBox Defender attached to it (iPhone 8). When my wife asked for one, I decided to stick with what works. I bought this model because of her car's design (Honday Accord) and attaching it to the vent securely was important. The clamp is what I expected, secure and easy to use. The release switch is on the lower left and works as it should - releases the sidewalls and allows for quick removal of your device. The attachment slider that grabs onto the vent blade works really well. Twisting the knob on the vent mount releases more of the slider if you need it to be longer. Securing it is just a matter of twisting the same knob until it's tight. Once tightened, it sits really well against the dash. One thing I'll mention is make sure the vents are in the position you'd like before mounting the clip. Depending on your vent spacing, they may not adjust after the mount is in place. Once the holder is in place, it's just a matter of adjusting the phone plate to the direction and angle you want. You do this by loosening and tightening the phone plate knob. Easy peasy. As mentioned above, I've been using my previous holder for a year and it still performs as I'd expect. I'm anticipating this one will do the same.
