It seems ridiculous to purchase such an expensive grooming unit, but my puppy doesn't do well at the groomers when they put him in kennels between activities. With that, the cost of one on one grooming is extremely expensive as one session is the cost of this grooming unit. Using this with the removable 10 blade as well as a separate 3 3/4 blade allowed me to fully groom my puppy for the cost of a session, while being able to keep him comfortable. I also have a Wahl, actually 2 Wahl (black and Orange). I wanted to upgrade because doing so many grooms. I prefer the shape of the Andis but can't say it was worth the difference in price. They work about the same. The interchangeability of clipper blades and clip-ons largely depends on design compatibility, which encompasses factors such as size, fitting mechanisms, and construction materials. This clipper is a breeze to use! It cuts my fluffy bunny’s coat very well. The blade gets warm but cools down in just a few minutes if left on a glass table. I finished her groom in around an hour! I would give these five stars, but they just didn't work for my Great Pyrenees. Her fur is just too thick for this to work with a guide. What hair i could getbto the clipper it cut, but her fur just will not go through a guide. It's more like sheep's wool than a normal dog.
