It also has features such as counting calories and counts distance you walk. It addition it has an easy remote to comprehend when you want to switch between mode or speed settings. I recommend this item to any individual that finds it difficult to walk outside in fear of losing their balance. The media could not be loaded. Highly recommend for someone who is sedentary due to medical issues . I deal with chronic pain and spinal issues that make it extremely painful to do most exercises . I feel like this will not only get me moving without causing the discomfort. Extremely Easy to use, even has a remote for those with bending issues ( like me ) . Also, it has large enough paddles for all sizes of feet. I’m a women’s size 9 !! . Lightweight enough for someone with limited strength . I love that it has preprogrammed exercises . It’s important to know right up front that the vendor’s description is accurate - This thing is clearly for someone with limited mobility or strength in their legs, because you can’t just set a resistance level and push the pedals manually; they will move if the power is on and you start one of the programs. The self-pedaling feature was appealing to me as a sedentary worker, as I figured that it would be helpful for my circulation even if I was too tired or lazy to push the pedals. However, I’ve found that I mostly pedal away absent-mindedly with the power off, and there’s just the right amount of resistance in it to make that feel comfortably effortful, while also letting me keep it up for as long as I’d like. It’s probably not designed to be used this way, and it may break, but that’s on me. Two things worth noting: 1) you can’t pedal backwards with the power off (I don’t care, but you might.) 2) It slips forward on the plastic chair mat I have under my desk. I’ll be moving the mat soon to compensate, but it’s annoying in the mean time. I don’t know whether that would be an issue on a non-carpeted floor. ... show more

The concept is simple but effective for my purposes. I still walk my dog every day, but I like the addition of low impact movement for joints and circulation. If you have a chair/couch and an electrical outlet, that’s all you need to get in this additional movement. There are multiple speeds for more intensity if desired just just by pressing the remote, though I had to laugh when I found the mode control and my TV pause and return channel frequencies are the same. The way the places where you put your feet is, you feet keep slipping off, especially when you have shoes or even socks on. And they LOOK like they are upside down even thought they are like the pictures show. There is a cup like thing at the TOP of the foot rest, but nothing at the bottom. That seems backwards to me, as if the there was one at the bottom, it seems like it would help to keep your foot in place better. The motor and speeds seem Ok, and the remote so far has worked, though I've noticed thst people have had issues with those, but haven't been able to see how we'll it will hold up, due to the foot slippage problem.
