This little guy has a long list of capabilities and features. I've used it to track down my ABS problems on my vehicle and saved money finding my exact problem rather than just covering a broad spectrum of replacement parts to get my dash lights off. And I was even able to reset my abs lights with this tool instead of having to go to the MINI dealer so I'm very pleased with that. This is a very "middle of the road" tool it has a lot of good features, but it also lacks a lot of features you'd find in more expensive, and more comprehensive tools. For instance you can't really do many tests and you're limited to the code reading and in depth computer monitoring. But you can do more than just check and read simple engine codes. It'll do ABS, Transmission, engine, and some other premium features that a lot of cheap tools cannot. You can see live fees graphs of a plethora of systems. You can see each independent wheel speed to check your speed sensors. It'll even tell you when different switches are on like your brake switch to check if that's working if your brake lights are acting up. The system does run a little leggy sometimes, and I do plan to get a more in depth tool later down the road for testing and resetting more systems and such. But this tool will be used more often and will always have a place in my tool box. I love this little guy

This scanner is more on the advanced version, than just a simple OBD2 scanner, as it can scan for every little issue that your car is experiencing. i would highly recommend once you get the unit, you update to the latest software from ANCEL website. my 2015 vehicle wasnt even getting detected, so i had to update the software in order for it to perform correct diagnose. its a bit tricky to update so ill try to provide a helpful instruction. Step 1: Connect the scanner with the USB cable that comes with it to laptop Step 2: Download the software from Anceldirect and make sure you download the FX2000 software Step 3: once you have downloaded the software its pretty easy to just follow the instruction from there onwards. its great to have these kind of unit in the tool box, even if you are not very handy, it will help you inform what is going on with your vehicle, and when you take it to mechanic, you can tell them where the issue is arising from, lets say if its an oxygen sensor, this way you wont get ripped off for a simple repair or you can get a little adventurous and buy an oxygen off here on amazon and watch youtube videos on how to replace it. its fairly easy to do. Great tool to have in toolbox

I purchased the Ancel FX2000 in 2019 and the scanner has done a phenomenal job on everything I have needed it for. I have scanned several of my own and my family and friends vehicles and it has saved us countless dollars being able to scan and figure out problems as they come. It also has the ability to scan and erase SRS codes, which came in handy when I had a seatbelt issue causing an airbag light. It is quick and easy, unlike some brands that lag or take awhile to load. I have been pleasantly surprised and pleased with the product since my purchase and would recommend to anyone looking for a do-it-all scanner.

I bought this scanner as a replacement for my old one that was the exact same but I had lost on a job site this scanner has proven to be the fastest easy and overall most reliable scanner I have tried after I lost my first one I ran through 7 scanners in the time span of 2 months before I remember the brand and got an identical scanner even compared to the tablet version from this company the scanner is faster although had less functions if you want it the have more special functions I would recommend the slightly newer fx3000 but this scanner is more than good enough for diy or beginners even techs who would like a simple scanner for day to day and have more specific scanners for when the functions are actually needed

Ancel Website states: "The FX2000 can read and clear the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC) data stream transmitted from the ABS.********** It can verify the operating conditions of the ABS through a series of bi-directional tests************** and turn off the warning light. By retrieving the ABS code data, it can check the various brake components and accurately diagnose problems." WRONG!!!!! It does NOT in fact have Bi-directional control command capability! That is a flat out lie! This function is one of the reasons I bought this model several years ago, and I am just now realizing this, as I am just now needing this function. Now I have to drop another $150 plus to obtain what I thought I already had!

Awesome scanner for the price, was able to read SRS codes and engine codes. Would definitely buy again. it's not gonna give you more advanced features like key programming but for the price it's perfect. It has a lot of features that are good for DIY car repair. Updating the scanner is very easy if you follow the instructions. Wish it was bidirectional but can't expect much at this price point. The scanner is not too slow and the materials / build quality feels really good.

Let me start of by saying that this product is very nice. It feels well made and has great features for the price. Registering the device is relatively simple, just follow all he steps in the guide and you will be fine. Now for the only complaint I have about this product is the quality of the display. As you can see in this picture the top right of the screen has light bleed (white semi circle) in it out of the box. Now it doesn't take away from the device in a major way but it is still inexcusable for a new out of the box product to already be showing signs of damage. If it wasn't for the bad display I would easily give this a 5/5 star review but for the time being it will remain a 3/5. Should this discourage you from buying it? I would say no, it is still an amazing product for the money but just be aware that it may come with some fault out of the box.
