  • Good scanner for the do it yourselfer.
Does a good job for checking out things when the engine light comes on.

  • Totally does its JOB! Worth my money!
This little thing is well built and very easy to use. Just ignite your car, plug it in your car and follow the menu to read out the code and erase the code after. Then the "Check Engine" light goes off (in my case P0440 and P0442) when I restart my car. This device draws power from your car, so it doesn't need any battery, what a wonderful design (of the OBD2 bus)!! The only con is the speed of menu operating is a little bit slow, but totally usable (unless you are a professional and need to use it 100 times/day). Overall, it worth every penny of my money. 5 Stars for sure!! If you go to mechanics, it will cost $80 to just readout the code, while you can DIY with this little thing:) ... show more

  • Does what it says it supports very effectively
All that it showed indicated there were no problems with any of the vehicle parts or components. Knowing this saved a lot of time and money that would have been spent at a repair shop. The only issue was that it didn't identify that the battery was more than ready to replace, which I did do to resolve the Sienna's starting up and random electrical problems. However, the newer version of this OBD II Scanner DOES let you know if the battery is sick. If you do have this as a possible concern, then buy the newer one. ... show more

My first OBDII scanner. I learned to use it by watching YouTube video for this particular unit. Scanner cleared error message on my Volt so I could charge it.

  • The force is not strong with this one.
Worked great for a Chevy as well as a Hyundai, but I got no reading when I plugged it into the Death Star. I'm not overly worried, though. What could really happen to a battle station this big? -Grand Moff Tarkin
