  • The only way (I know)to instrument a non standard bike, but good for any bike. kudos to Polar!
I Ride a terretrike sportster, the crank and back wheels are separated by geometry (tadpole geometry.) I taped (monkey grip duck tap) a stack of super magnets (about 1/2in fia) on the back side of the pedal bolt, leaving a small clearance (I used a stack as the very strong magnets fit neatly in the hole and are nearly secure without the black tape) the rear needed only minor modifications. Both linked to my iPhone simultaneously in addition to a bluetooth polar heart monitor, running Cyclemeter and work like a champ. I rolled my back wheel in the parks ng lot ten revolutions ( lazy) for 66.6 feet, verifying with a hundred foot tape measure. A decided improvement in distance measuriment, as gps distance does not seem to correct for altitude changes. Additionally they all works indoors on my training rollers. An industrious person could make an adaptor swing aluminum cylinders and a zip strip with super magnets and JB weld, for the front attachment. ... show more

  • Excellent Products !
These are great speed / cadence sensors ! I have used similar Polar sensors in the past paired with a Polar watch. When the watch died, I tossed the watch and sensors. Now, not wanting to purchase a new watch for in excess of $200, I purchased the sensors again and paired with an Android 14 tablet. I no longer ride on the street so using a tablet is not a problem for me. I had been using the Polar Flow app to monitor my HR during workouts. It is a shame these sensors are not supported within the Polar Flow nor Polar Beat apps. I can imagine that would cut into Polar's watch sales. I have paired the HR / speed / cadence sensors with the WAHOO app and it works great. I had attempted to use the MapMyRide app but that app did not seem to recognize the active sensors although published it would. These sensors are easy to install and the WAHOO app supports the entry of wheel size for the speed sensor. Other apps may work as well. I highly recommend these sensors. ... show more

  • Easy to install and they sync right up to my ...
Easy to install and they sync right up to my V800. Much smaller than I expected them to be. Disappointed that the batteries are not replaceable. Not sure if I missed that detail in the description but read it in the instruction booklet. I will not pay $100 for another set when the batteries die off, so I may be doing some surgery on these when the time comes. Not sure what polar was thinking by not making the batteries replaceable. ... show more

  • Satisfied
I have not used these sensors yet but have verified they are operational and have reviewed the installation directives. This is what I expected based on using the previous model of sensor.

  • Don’t buy electronics through a third party on Amazon
Both work great with my Polar Vantage M. Only problem with buying on Amazon through a third party is that there is no manufacture warranty on the product. If you buy on Amazon, make sure it is Sold by Amazon not an Amazon third party vendor. The item I got from the Vendor was dead and I sent it for repair and got charged a repair fee. Luckily Polar is an awesome manufacture and covered the cost of the repair. ... show more

  • What’s important to know? Buy wahoo cadence and speed sensors instead
Could find no information on the polar website indicating any apps to use with these sensors. Sensors sometimes fail to sense magnet. Magnet placement to sensor is more difficult than it needs to be. When mounting sensors on a bike used for a trainer they are exposed and vulnerable to being knocked out of place. I frequently use the polar beat app but it’s not usable with these sensors which make no sense. ;) ... show more

  • 2 year update - working well!
I've used these sensors for 2 years and they have worked well. Still going strong on original batteries. I pair these sensors with my Polar V650. We have other bikes with the Wahoo Blue SC sensor and the Wahoo has connection issues and the batteries need constant replacement. The Polar is also more flexible in mounting, with two sensors. Finally, the Polar sensors stay in place much better than the Wahoo Blue SC, which can get knocked out of position easily. ... show more

  • Don't work with Polar Beat app. Disappointed.
In a strange move, these don't work with Polar Beat app! The readings seem ok, but the strip to protect the magnet of the cadence sensor isn't the best for its purpose. I'm disappointed.
