Product arrived early and quite well packaged. The installation instructions were clear and easy to follow. I performed the installation quickly and with no issues. Prior to now I'd purchased two other American Standard models to replace my home's circa 1995 Eljer toilets, and this third one has the very same high quality as the others. I needed this nonstandard 14" rough-in model to mitigate an annoying home construction flaw. (The installation plumber inexplicably did a 16" rough-in in my master bath's toilet closet, and that meant a big gap between the wall and the tank of the 12" rough-in model the builder put in. smh) The design of this chair height Cadet Pro involves a taller tank than that of the old style 12" rough-in toilet I'd removed, so while there's no such thing as a 16" rough-in toilet these days, this 14" unit all but resolved the 'larger than necessary gap behind the toilet tank' issue I'd been putting up with for decades. All in all, I still swear by the American Standard product line. Their Support remains excellent, too. Once I ordered this toilet, I still needed to decide on which AS seat to install, and their kind phone rep spent quality time helping me understand the differences in the (many) available product options. Also taking this opportunity to give a shout-out to the seller (Homestead Supply & More). Before I made the decision to purchase this, I communicated with their Support (via Amazon messaging) and was very impressed with both response time and with the level of attention they devoted to completely covering all of my pre-purchase questions. After the well packaged product arrived (early, too!), Support likewise handled a minor concern amazingly well and to my complete satisfaction. Our subsequent dialogue with equally quick response actually happened on a Sunday, so that was equally impressive. I'm a very pleased 1st time customer plus an admirer of the way this outfit rolls.

Worst purchase I have made thus far! First of all it is not a 14” rough in. Second ignore other reviews that say it doesn’t come with bolts, it does but they are shoved so far in the toilet bowl you cannot see them. I have installed many toilet and have never had any issues. When I went to install this one I had so many Issues. At first I thought it was the flange so I needed up having to pay $382 for a plumber to come out and through process of elimination they added more lead, which didn’t fix the problem. Then they tried using a wax ring instead of the “better than wax” ring, still didn’t work. Finally they ended up using an auger to pull out the bag of bolts. As long as they were out here I had them measure and they said 100% it is NOT a 14” rough in it measures 12”. I could have saved $500 going to Home Depot and getting a toilet that was 12” rough in and didn’t have the bolts shoved so far in the bowl they had to be retrieved with an auger! FYI I have been trying to communicate with seller and they are basically saying they will only refund me if I send back the toilet I paid $382 to have installed. WORST experience I have ever had on amazon! Stay away from the seller Home Essentials! The toilet might be ok from a different seller but Home Essentials is crap!

First off, the unit came packaged nicely in two boxes. Like a couple of others, it was confusing because the tank was labeled "12" Rough", and my researching the part numbers before opening got me all different stats on different sites. Some said it was a 12 and others a 14. But I read one comment here before opening that thankfully confirmed I had the right components. And combined, it is in fact a 14" rough in toilet. My only complaint is that the workmanship needs a little refinement. While pulling the base out, I sliced my finger really well (instant blood gush!) on the seam in back of the toilet. This is not visible, and it's likely to ever be touched again. I guess unless someone tries to clean the upper back of the bowl. Otherwise the unit looks very nice. Was worried about the 1.28 gal and shockingly short flush (looks like the tank only went down an inch or two on a flush!). But so far it's been a one flush toilet. Very amazing. Also keeps itself cleans streak-wise (sorry to be so graphic!). My previous toilet was a dual flush I got from Costco about 7 years ago and that thing... streak city every time. Comes with t-bolts and caps for the base, and all tank to bowl connections. Does not come with a seat, wax ring or supply line. It's not usual to find a toilet that DOES include these things (I want to pick my own seat, and how do they know what length supply line?), so not sure why people are dinging them on that. Overall, great unit. Yes you can buy a toilet for like $80 at the big box stores, but I'm just happy to be done with streaking and flush mechanism problems.

Thank you Amazon for stocking this toilet. A very nice toilet with a 14" rough-in and chair height (16-1/2"). I live in a good sized community of over 500,000 in the metro area but could not find a toilet anywhere with a 14" rough-in. Everyone carried only a 12" rough-in and told me the 14" would be a "special order" of 3-4 weeks! My home is 38 years old and had one bath that needed the 14" rough-in. A 12" rough-in would have left 4-1/2" from the top of the tank to the wall .... way too much space. The 14" rough-in leaves just a hair under 2" to the wall ... Perfect. A couple of things to note: (1) the toilet bowl is ELONGATED not round and (2) the toilet DOESN't come with a seat/cover. American Standard makes great products and so far I am very pleased with the quality and overall performance and it's quiet too. The price was okay for an "off-standard" BUT as mentioned above, Amazon once again came through with not only having this in stock but shipping it Prime as I received it in two days. Great job Amazon.

The particular seller I had (and there are many different ones) was great and we had good communication. However, the toilet arrived in two shipments, the tanks took many days after the bowl arrived. This was not sellers fault but FedEx, who drove the 2nd shipment back and forth across several states over several days. I think they forgot about it. VERY WELL PACKAGED by seller. Toilet is high quality.
