    • Worth the price, doesn't come with an the parts needed to rebuild.
My toilet came with this type of flapper. Granted, I could have used one of the aftermarket flappers in it's place. Since the toilet was over 30 years old and this, I assume was the first time I replaced the flapper, I felt it was a good fit. The parts were in good shape and worked. However, I ended up having to get a large black o-ring/washer that sits between the toilet flange and the tank which prevents leaking from this assembly. The ease of installation was what I held consider moderate, needing only a second person to muscle around the tank to prevent injury/damage. The value of for the money is knowing that the parts were OEM and was easy to install. Two brass screws and the washers used to attach the tank to the toilet needed to be replaced as they leaked when reassembled (not included in the kit). I'm hoping that this assembly will last another 30 years or more. ... show more

We had a leaking toilet coming from inside and couldn't tell from where. I figured out it may be coming from the flapper/lid. Brought the replacement and though it not a perfect match, it worked (a small difference). No more leak

Fits my champ 4 with no issues, but does not come with the tank-to-bowl seal. Large red Korky at Ace Hardware works.

    • Hard to find
Could not find this part in our home improvement or hardware stores. Had to remove the tank but not really hard to replace. Flushes better than ever now.

    • Seriously?
It's not the government, the school systems, or a lack of values that is ruining America. It's the engineers who designed this flush valve and the corporate numb-nuts at American Standard that green-lit it's distribution! In order to get this thing to work properly you need to adjust the float to the highest level, and then it won't fit in the tank, or just plain won't go high enough to work at all. Forget adjustments or troubleshooting without having to drain half the tank every time you remove a part. (yes, i tried adjusting the float while still installed in the tank, but the champion tank is too small to allow the stem to turn, it HAS to be removed and therefore wastes a gallon of water for every adjustment). Another flaw is the chain connection. It twists and catches on itself every so often, keeping the valve from shutting, causing the toilet to run. Loosening the chain won't remedy this because now the valve won't stay open long enough for a sufficient amount of water to cause the valve to flush completely. I've had to plunge this toilet every couple of weeks because this valve is so ridiculously ineffective. There are 3rd party flappers that will fit the wide tank opening and sit much lower. Buy one of those instead of this trash. ... show more
