Style: Without Side Burner

Pattern Name: Gas Grill

Features

  • GAS GRILL: Powered by liquid propane gas to grill without the hassle of charcoal, this grill runs on a 20-pound propane gas tank, not included. It reaches cooking temperatures quickly, delivers high temps and maintains even heat.
  • COOKING AREA: Grill up to 14 burgers, 8 chicken breasts or 5 steaks on 360-square-inches of primary cooking space. You can cook meats and larger items on the main grates and delicate foods on the 170-square-inch warming rack.
  • BTU RATING: This grill has a 30,000 BTU rating with three 10,000 BTU burners. *BTU is a measurement of energy used by your grill and is not related to how hot it will get. Grills with lower BTUs burn less fuel to cook your food.
  • GRATES: These porcelain-coated wire grates offer fast warm-up and heat recovery time. Theyre lightweight, making them easy to lift when removing to clean and economical to replace when its time.
  • WARMING RACK: Use the warming rack for indirect cooking and to keep food warm. This warming rack automatically swings out of the way when you open the grill lid, so you can easily reach the food on your cooking grates.
  • SIDE SHELVES: Two large side shelves provide ample space to set plates, tools, sauces and rubs while you grill.
  • IGNITION: The Piezo igniter creates a spark at the burner that lights the grill when you press the button and turn the control knob
  • CONTROL KNOBS: Control knobs raise and lower the flame for each burner. Turn clockwise to increase the heat and counterclockwise to decrease.
  • CART: The cart is designed with two wheels for easy mobility. Simply, tilt the cart onto its wheels and roll it out of the garage and onto the patio. An integrated rack holds the propane tank in place.
  • WHEELS: Two 7-inch heavy-duty wheels make it easy to roll when you need to move your grill.

Should I Buy It?

If you're seeking a small, cost-effective grill that is easy to assemble and use, then this Charbroil Grill is a good investment. • Works well, only needed a thermometer. Works well, only needed a thermometer.
I just got this grill to replace a 20 year old Kenmore grill. I don't grill much anymore so wanted a smaller, simpler grill. This fit the bill well. I was scared of the similar Charbroil grill because of the reviews on how difficult it was to assemble. This still has the Charbroil name on it , and the review from the elderly woman assembling it in 2 hours convinced me to buy this. 1. This was fairly ready to assemble. I like the screw pieces secured in a cardboard shrink wrap contraption. Kept everything neatly organized. I got scared when I lost a F bolt in the shag carpet, but I ended up with 7 extra f bolts, 2 J screws, and 4 l screws. Maybe this hardware kit was used for a bigger grill also. This took me about 2 hours to assemble also by myself. My only issue was that the silver colored metal diverted at the bottom of the grill should have been attached before the from controller panel. That is because there was one F bolt to a nut that is almost impossible to reach with the front panel in the way (piece is in the submitted picture). I eventually got it in place by hand and was able hold it in place with a socket wrench. I did use a generic Loctite for several f bolts to hopefully prevent bolt loosening. 2. I think the design is decent for the cost. I would prefer only one central rectangle hole at the bottom for soot to escape (previous grill was designed like that). 3. I have a pressure gauge attachment for the propane tank. This adds about 2 inches to the connector and just fit. 4. Fired up the grill after attaching a grill thermometer. This was necessary to know the temperature. It was surprising how much the temperature fluctuates. More than my old grill which cost more. But with the thermometer, I got perfect steak. The grill was a little harder to clean than the old grill, but probably won't be a big issue long term after several uses. ... show more

  • A Great Grill!
To start, this product came to us in the box. We assembled it quite easily with only a Philips head screw driver. We bought the tank, hooked it up and it started within the first few tries with the starter button. Char-Broil makes a great product and this one is as well. Now... Ok, this may be important, it may not; we originally went to a local big box store to buy this product, showing this item and price to the store. We wanted to shop local and still get a good price. We were in the car and I was going to need to go home and get the truck to put the BBQ in the back, in order to finally get it home. Instead, the store chose not to match the price. Big mistake, for a couple reasons; 1. I did go home. But I did not have to go back out. This is convenient for me. 2. We still ended up getting the BBQ, only we got it through Amazon, for the price we wanted. 3. Not only did we get the BBQ, but we checked on a couple other things we had planned to purchase at the big box store and chose to buy them from Amazon as well. Why is this a big deal? Let me explain. You see, we have a truck to put big purchases in. But what if you do not have that advantage? You have to hope you have someone who does. Unless you shop on Amazon. Amazon will bring it straight to your door for you, they use their contracted trucks and save you having to deal with that issue. So, through Amazon, you can find it at a better price and it will be brought to your door, thus saving your needing to find a way to get it home from the big box store. The caviat here was that I had to put it together. But I was willing to buy it unassembled from the big box store in order to save money. They chose not to discuss that option with me. Next, other items we were going to get at the box box store were also bought online because of the convenience of having it brought to our door. Accessories and other items we were ready to purchase, we bought online from the comfort of our patio rocking chairs. People often argue over how society is changing and how the internet is killing local jobs. Remember, that manager had the ability to move product out of his store - which is the primary goal of every retail space; move product. The store manager chose not to match the price, in essence, telling us to go and buy it from Amazon, so we did. ... show more

  • A Good Economy Grill, but Not Quite the Char-Broil I Remember
Bought this grill to do quick grilling when I don't feel like using charcoal. For the money you can't go wrong with a Char-Broil classic. It is a good bare bones gas grill that will cook your food however you like it. One star off because I feel the quality is not what Char-Broil grills used to be. The metal appears to be on the thinner side and the side tables are not very sturdy. If you're looking for a good gas grill to be the main grill in your backyard, you may want to look at some of the other options. For my purposes this grill works great! ... show more

  • The perfect entry-point for gas grilling!
We're absolutely loving this thing! After years of grilling on an electric outdoor foreman (our apartment complex didn't allow gas or charcoal grills) we finally upgraded to a propane grill. My budget has been pretty tight, so after seeing the many positive reviews for this model we decided to take a chance on it - and I'm so glad we did. Setup took less than an hour and was a breeze, as all of the hardware and tools necessary for assembly are included. Within an hour and a half I was good to go and was cooking a piece of tri-tip in the backyard! Setup was actually pretty fun, and I felt like I really "got to know" my grill and all of the components. The grill has three burners and a very convenient heating rack that moves in/out of place above the large grill surface as you open and close the lid. The heating rack is great for bread and other items you don't want getting direct heat and flame exposure. The grilling surface is very easy to clean, and even with some pretty vigorous scraping didn't appear to lose any finish. It's big enough for us too, I've fit 15+ drumsticks on it with no issue. Cleaning the inside of the grill is also a breeze, as the grilling surface just lifts out of the barbecue and can be set aside while you clean under and around it with a paper towel or sponge. My only recommendation would be buying a cover for the grill. It doesn't feel cheap, but it also doesn't feel super heavy duty, and a few nights out in the rain would probably put some wear/tear on it. The propane hookup, for example, is almost completely exposed with the open design, and that's probably not something you want getting weathered or damaged. ... show more

  • Very Nice Grill
Very nice grill! Assembles really easy. If you're not mechanically inclined, have your neighbor help you. It does NOT take 4 hours and it only requires one tool. A Phillips screwdriver. I barbecued chicken yesterday, and today I barbecued burgers. It seems to be doing a great job!

  • Good value for your money
At first I had thought this thing is garbage and won’t stand up. After assembly I was impressed with how study it is. I’ve only used it once so far. But everything was perfect. I like that the vendor marked the hardware on the back with easy to follow letters that correspond to the steps you are doing in the manual. I found it very easy to assemble. The only thing I would ask for them to change is not have plastic for the wheels. I would prefer rubber. Plastic will damage overtime when left in the rain. Some nice solid wheels with rubber tracks would last much longer and likely would not cost much more. I may just machine some myself if it becomes a problem. ... show more

  • Great grill for the price!
I was looking for a quality grill with none of the bells and whistles. This is a great size for myself and my girlfriend to make dinner, but also big enough for meal prepping and hosting. On it's first major trial, it fit a 4-pound tritip, 2 chicken breasts, 2 kielbasas, and 5 brats all in one go! Friends just found a spot for their stuff as they showed up. I managed to set this thing up in the late afternoon as the sun was setting, and light was waning. It took me about an hour. It's pretty simple if you follow the directions and are decently handy putting things together. If you can put together an Ikea desk, this should not be a problem. If you want a simple grill, with good quality materials at a low price, this is a great option! Now onto the very, very minor complaints - My first complaint is regarding the knob control. I managed to shut off one of the burners trying to increase the heat. It is not a huge deal, I just know to watch the flame when I turn the thing up from now on. Seems like a stopper or something could have been added to prevent this and clearly dictate the max heat setting. My second complaint is that there is nowhere to hang BBQ tools. A few simple hooks below one of the side tray would have been really useful. Other than those two minor things, I've been thoroughly satisfied with this purchase! ... show more

  • Great Gas Grill
November 25, 2022 I bought this grill on April 1, 2017. The grill is fantastic. The grill cooks food evenly and I like the warming rack that comes with it. We've cooked rib eye steaks, baby back ribs, hamburgers, hot dogs, fish, shish kebab and vegetables. I've never been disappointed. We've cooked hamburgers and hot dogs for 15 people at the same time. We've never had any problems with the grill. I would buy it again and recommend it for someone wanting to cook on a 3-burner grill. If you are going to cook a large quantity of food at the same time, a bigger grill would be needed. Fairly easy to assemble--you might someone to help you as there are a couple of parts where a extra set of hands will make it easier to put together. ... show more
