I've been cutting hair for maybe 5 years, I'm not licensed. I started with the Oster fast feeds, then magic clips. However, this clipper feels amazing and it's ergonomically correct. It's truly quiet, doesn't bite, and it's great for kids. The size is about the same as a remote controll in length. It's lightweight, and it just feels right. It feels better than any clipper I've held. Guards are a tight fit, so they don't slip. You can also use wahl guards, but they are a bit loose. It comes with the chunk blade, and has a surprisingly good crunch (imo) if that's something you care about. The lever is great as well. The trimmer comes with a the softy blade which can be adjusted, but don't go crazy and zero gap it too close leave a tad bit of space to avoid cutting people. Its not a tap and go trimmer with the softy blade, but can be with the psycho or morano blade (sharper & for professionals). Keep the softy if you're new or learning how to use pressure with a trimmer. Yes, you will have to go back over the same spot but that's because it's a soft blade and has nothing to do with the power of the trimmer. Awesome for kids, and seniors out of the box. You will still get a clean and sharp line as it is! I love the quality, what I thought may look cheap, doesn't. Battery life is better than expected. The charging stands and USBC port adds to its awesomeness. It's a clean clipper being that it's transparent. I don't drop or mishandle my tools, so it's going to be durable regardless. If you like a heavy, bulky, loud, and rattling clipper this is not the set for you. I wasted 3 months researching every site from reddit, FB, and YT, reading bad reviews that mislead me about this clipper set when I should have just bought it. This is the most ergonomic clipper I’ve ever held in my hands. I didn’t even mean to grip it so well, everything just fell in place. It has a great click lever. I pick it up from time to time to time just play with the clicks. If this lever was a fidget toy, man that would be so satisfying. It’s cold to the touch and seems to have a metal finish with a plastic rubber like grip handle. It has usb c, it’s super quiet. The blade is sharp. The space black option is nice and modern. It feels like a lightsaber when you turn it on due to the futuristic sound that it amplifies. Great for the guys in the military that want to do cuts on deployment, mothers cutting kids hair, or high school kids getting little touch ups here and there. Solid little clipper. These aren’t going to be your main clippers for debulking. They’re more suited for tapering and that’s what I mainly use them for. They are super quiet and small, so I also use them for toddlers or kiddos with sensory issues. They will lag a bit if you’re going too fast through longer/thicker hair types. Guards are a bit finicky to remove but I rather they stay on versus falling off. Battery life is great, haven’t had any issues with that. ... show more

I'm only enthusiast about hair cutting, but TPOB Mini Play is for me best hair clipper I've ever had. Robust and handy with nice rubber grip, with enough power to cut through various hair, and with enough energy to withstand for 1-2 hours. Great and easy for hair fading with the adjustable lever. Package contained except hair clipper with blade (sharp!) and manual, few combs, charging adapter, small bottle of oil, little brush for blade, and blade liner. Awesome clipper but the style craft instinct X takes less passes to get all the hair so unfortunately I retired the play clipper from my station.
