I am not sure why there would be any negative reviews with regard to the Echo Show 11. It isn’t perfect but it sure is a tremendous value. I have been using my iPad Pro for kitchen entertainment but the speakers are not great and I don’t love exposing it to the various hazards a kitchen creates. The Show 11 is priced at $180 now and has an upgrade offer that took it all the way down to $116. This is a ridiculously good piece of tech for that money. First, the sound is really good. It is basically a beefy Amazon speaker with a tablet bolted onto it. The sound can fill a medium sized room, has great bass, and sounds way better than most stand alone $100 BT speakers I have used. It found my Spotify account from my prior Alexa usage so it was truly plug and play. The screen was an area I was concerned about given that I was coming from an iPad Pro. Honestly, I am stunned to report that the picture and video quality of the Show is impressive. I don’t think anyone will be upset watching videos or a show on this. It doesn’t appear to have automatic brightness which I found odd but I cranked it up a bit from how it came and it is all good. Perhaps, it’s there and I will update as I go. The Show 11 software has some cracks in it. I have had multiple Fire devices including TVs and I have never been a huge fan of their OS. The good news here is that you really don’t need to interact with it a lot. You can just tell Alexa to pretty much do anything and it will. Alexa+ is a surprisingly handy AI and is a welcome addition to this device. In fact, I would say that the Show 11 is the kind of device that is really made to take advantage of an AI in their current infancy stages. Alexa is able to listen to and execute complex steps. Turn on the living room light at 50% brightness or turn on the fire tv and put on ESPN. It’s pretty great and no need for swipes or any real OS interaction. The camera and video quality for video calls or quick pics is also pretty good and the camera can track you for a zoom. It isn’t amazing but plenty good enough. I will just say this about this device: Amazon tech can be pretty hit or miss for me. This is a home run especially when you bring the value proposition it presents into it. Truly amazing for the money. If you are looking for an entertainment companion for any room in your home, this is a great choice. I would not hesitate to buy another or recommend it to a friend or family member. Great work here Amazon.

The sound quality is amazing. I used my older version for music, radio and podcasts daily. I thought the sound was good enough on the old one. This new version is so much better! The screen is several inches larger and the picture quality is very clear. I highly recommend. We stream old TV shows, movies and more on this. We use the music feature daily and love the new rich sound.

Amazon Echo Show 11 Review – Almost Perfect, But One Step Back on Sound I’ve been a longtime fan of the Echo Show lineup—especially my original Echo Show 8—and the new Echo Show 11 takes almost everything I loved and makes it better… almost. Streaming & Versatility – Still a Huge Win One of the best things about the Echo Show series is how versatile it is, and that hasn’t changed here. You can still download streaming apps like Netflix and YouTube, and anything that isn’t available natively can usually be accessed through the built-in Silk browser. I use it to watch Disney+, Fandango (formerly Vudu), and other services with no problem. If something doesn’t load right, switching the browser to the mobile view usually fixes it. For a smart display, that level of flexibility is a real game changer. Widgets, Smart Features & Apple Integration The widget system is genuinely useful. I rely on it to: • Check my calendar at a glance • Add quick sticky notes • View my grocery list • See news and weather updates The built-in camera is handy for checking in on pets or family when I’m away. On top of that, Apple TV and Apple Music integration now work smoothly through the Alexa app. That means I can access Apple movies, shows, music, and podcasts, plus SiriusXM and Audible audiobooks, all from the Echo Show 11. It really becomes a central hub for entertainment. Sound Quality – More Bass, Less Clarity Audio has always been a strong point of the Echo Show line, and on paper the Echo Show 11 should be even better. It has three speakers: two front-facing full-range drivers and a downward-firing woofer for richer, more immersive sound. In reality, the sound is a mixed bag: • More bass than the Echo Show 8 (3rd gen) • But less clarity and crispness overall The previous Echo Show 8 with Spatial Audio actually sounded cleaner to my ears. Music still sounds decent on the Echo Show 11, but when watching movies, the audio on the Echo Show 8 was noticeably clearer and less “washed out.” So yes, you get more low-end punch, but not necessarily better overall sound quality—and that’s disappointing. Performance, Screen & Camera On the performance side, the Echo Show 11 is a clear upgrade: • Faster and more responsive interface thanks to the new processor • Wi-Fi 6E support helps with smoother streaming and quicker loading • Larger 11” 1080p display with better colors and contrast The 13 MP wide-angle camera with auto-framing still does a great job for video calls, and feels familiar in a good way. Smart Home Hub Powerhouse This is where the Echo Show 11 really shines. It acts as a Matter controller and directly supports Wi-Fi, Thread, and Zigbee devices, letting it work with a wide range of smart home gadgets. I regularly use it to: • View and control my Ring cameras • Adjust my Ecobee thermostat • Control my Hue lights Everything connects reliably and just works, which is exactly what you want from a smart home hub. Alexa Plus AI You still get Alexa, now upgraded to Alexa Plus AI, which feels more conversational and a bit smarter overall. It’s subtle, but you notice it in day-to-day use. ⸻ Final Thoughts ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4/5) The Amazon Echo Show 11 is an impressive upgrade in almost every way: faster performance, a bigger and better display, expanded smart home support, and solid integration with services like Apple TV, Apple Music, SiriusXM, and Audible. However, it loses one star for the sound quality. The audio is louder and has more bass, but that extra low end comes at the cost of clarity compared to the previous Echo Show 8 (3rd gen). If sound quality is your top priority, you may actually prefer the older model. For everything else—smart home control, streaming, widgets, and versatility—the Echo Show 11 is a fantastic smart display and a strong addition to the Echo lineup.
