They're inexpensive, have reasonably good sound and power for their size, are powered from a USB-C port, and plug into a headphone jack. I bought these to use with a 2015 macbook that has poor quality speakers. They have a nice weight to them, and wayyyy better sound quality than I expected for the price point (I'm a musician, but coming from only using laptop speakers, phone speakers, and airpods most of the time). Basically good bass response for most types of music other than trap and EDM (some EDM sounds decent though, 10:35 by Tiesto was pretty good). Jazz, classical, pop, rock all have pretty solid frequency coverage. Much fuller sound than most laptop speakers. Put them on a solid table and the bass will get even better as the table becomes a large resonator. Honestly no complaints! Video conferencing is great with these if you don't like wearing headphones while speaking like me, and this was another reason for my purchase. People's voices are much fuller in the mids and easier to understand. If you're looking for cheap, solid speakers for casual music consumption, youtube, and video conferencing, I highly recommend them. If you need higher quality desk speakers with lots of bass or precise monitoring for music production, obviously these would not be a good choice. One note is you may find the blue underlighting distracting at night. Would prefer if you could turn that off. Also, they require a USB A connection for power, so this may require an adapter for newer computers. ... show more
