I already owned a full set of $50 per piece cast iron cookware. I've hand picked and collected piece by piece over the years. This set had all but one piece (the flat 2 burner grill) and was less than 2 pieces of mine on a cyber deal before Christmas. I was hesitant but since it was for my college student who really doesn't cook much but misses cast iron when she goes to school, I bought it. I am so glad I did. These work great and my wife and I both love them. Cast iron is different than many other types of kitchen cookware e.g.: it's heavier, it's harder to clean, and it requires special handling. On the flip side, the taste is amazing and it feels nice to have a reliable nonstick pan without risk of chemicals. Highly, highly recommend you get a chainmail cleaner. They're relatively inexpensive but invaluable in cleaning these pans without requiring weakly seasonings to keep the nonstick. ... show more

I actually got these for my daughter for Christmas but I gave them to her early since she cooks a lot and she loves them She was so happy with this set The only thing I didn't like was the fact that I thought it came with the oven grill but it's still a really nice set
