Put in Guest room and Master room to limit need for main furnace to kick on. Max power setting brought both rooms from ~50°F to ~70°F in about 6 hours (Master is much larger room). Works well, on lowest setting to more or less maintain room with shut door after initial heating. Product weighs max 10 lbs, has good handle, and decent rollers. Thermostat is a little tricky to first reckon, and could use a white mark on indicator (manual Thermostat model) but such is easy rectified with a white paint marker or white-out paint. It runs best if you never shut off. Leaving it on so it don't take time to reheat the oil. This will save you money because it's not working harder to get up to temp. The sad thing is this is not forced warm air. The heat will rise from this. You will need to stand right on top of this to feel heat. It is good to keep a room from freezing. It's not going to heat your house. If you want to heat your home try something that will force air over the heating element. All i will say is read up on what types are best and safe. They all will use about the same electric as all the others. You want the BTU's high and make sure the the area you wish to heat is inside the square footage each one is rated for. If you really want a good space heater you should look into ones with quarts it should cost you around $200 to $280 just please watch for the one's that have safety plug ends and knock over shut offs. But if you just want to keep eater lines from freezing this unit is good for that. Just place it under or near what ever you wish to keep from freezing. Oh yeah almost forgot this unit is a little noisy. Not like a forced air noise it just has a humming noise that will seem loud. Don't try to adjust it or move it around to try to get it to stop. It's good overall. Pretty standard oil type heater. However, the plug and controls are on the same side of the heater, so unless you want to dangerously leave the cable within a few inches of the heating element, you have to leave the controls facing towards the wall. This includes the light. The light, which would've been perfect if two were used as both "on" and "currently heating" lights, is only an indication of whether the heater is plugged in or not. Does a pretty good job of warming up my cold office. I've noticed for all these type of hearters the 'light' stays on all the time, even when the unit is off, unless the unit is unplugged. Would be nice for light to go off when unit is actually off

Was looking for a absolute quiet heater and this is it. Yes it does crackle noise when it first heat up so get over it, it still works and is quiet afterwards. Puts it heat and adjusts to what you want the room to heat up to. I used it for the room over the garage which gets colder than any other rooms. Minus side is the lit digital numbers and that it does get hot so don’t put anything near it or on it. I covered the lit up part with a taped card board flap. ... show more

Some folks complain of the noise, and it is true, when you first turn it on you'll hear some bubbling and gurgling. The oils inside are heating up and bubbling around, but after a few minutes the noise stops. I connect this to a smart outlet to easily turn on and off on schedule, but what I found is that if you keep it on the highest setting, with both heating elements going, the smart outlet won't work. I suppose there is a more heavy duty 15 amp smart outlet but I was able to get by with the middle heat setting in the winter. I'm happy with the purchase. ... show more

I got it before black Friday but only cost $52. Only missing a screws there's no more issues. It looks much larger than other one bought later by Walmart brand. Heated up very soon even just set it as level 1 but I don't know what exactly how warm I set up. When it was turned off,the indication light is still on that makes me a little confused. As far as I used, it's much better for my living room in NOVA area. Hopefully it can beat the snow season. ... show more

This is a great heater if you are looking for something that needs to be kept warm--like the potty seat. It is safe to leave on overnight. My bathroom is small (30 square feet) but this heater will keep the room warm without heating up the wall. This heater is slow to warm up because it takes time for the oil inside the heater to heat up. If you are looking for something that will heat up a room fast you probably need a ceramic heater. ... show more
