This turned out to be a really solid steamer for my house. I mainly used it on our concrete floors but also tried it on wood floors and got the same nice results. The unit looks modern and compact and since it is Amazon Basics there is nothing complicated about it. Just an on and off button and that simplicity is honestly something I like a lot. It comes with a lot of accessories but the two main mop heads are the ones I actually use the most. The rest feel more like spot cleaning tools that I probably will not touch often. The extension piece is very helpful since I am over six foot and need that extra length to clean comfortably. The cord is long enough that I can cover about half the house without unplugging which saves time. The water tank has a good capacity and lasts around thirty minutes which works fine for me. It does take about five minutes to heat up but once it is ready it keeps going without stopping. After using it my floors look much cleaner and shinier than when I used regular chemicals. I always thought chemicals were doing the job but the mop pad came out very dark after steaming so clearly it was pulling out stuff normal mopping missed. I like the idea of deep cleaning without chemicals and it really feels healthier overall. The build quality feels strong and durable and the compact size is nice, but storage is honestly the one annoying part. Right now I still keep the box to throw everything back in after each use and I need a better long term solution. Overall I am really happy I switched to a steamer and I still use my regular mop sometimes for quick spot cleaning, but for deeper cleaning this has become my go to. This thing is genuinely impressive. I filled the tank, ran it for a little over 35 minutes, and was able to clean my entire kitchen in one session. It took a little longer than I expected to get up to temperature, but after about 6 or so minutes of waiting, it never cooled down and just kept pumping out steam the entire session with only brief breaks. I hit the floors, stove, microwave (inside and out), sink, even the patio door. It cut through grime and grease extremely well without using any chemicals, and after 1-2 passes, grease just wiped away with paper towels. The unit itself feels heavy-duty and well-designed. It’s straightforward and no-frills, which I appreciate. Heat-up time was reasonable, and the steam output felt consistent throughout the run. The actual steamer box is hefty, and like a drag-behind vacuum cleaner, it rolls well and the hose you pull is heavy duty and never feels like it's going to break. There are a couple of downsides. The instructions could be clearer about which attachment works best for specific tasks. It wasn't hard to figure out, but it comes with a lot of attachments and I wasn't immediately sure how they all connected. Frankly, the handheld wand also feels like the weakest part of the system. It gets hot and is made from thin plastic that doesn’t feel as robust as the main body. I wish they sold an upgraded handle wand, but it's not immediately obvious that switching it out is even possible. It looks permanently integrated into the cord. Storage is another challenge. While the accessory bag is helpful for holding everything it comes with, there’s no obviously tidy way to secure the hose or wrap the power cord other than velcro straps, so it ends up being a bit messy to store. Overall, the cleaning performance is excellent. If you’re willing to work around some minor design shortcomings, it’s a very capable steam cleaner. Well worth the money. ... show more
