I am so pleased with this little kettle that I decided to share my thoughts. We recently moved to a retirement village. This has meant many adjustments. It was a big downsize for us. One thing that I have always had is a hot water dispenser at the kitchen sink. I was not able to have one in my new apartment and I knew I needed an alternative that would meet my needs. I began scrolling through the list of kettles and my eye was caught by the design of this kettle. I liked the size and the fact that I would be able to keep it on my counter without it being so huge that it took up more space than needed. The size is perfect. I love that it is glass and I can see when bubbles begin to form when it is turned on. I drink hot tea every night as I watch TV. This little kettle does the trick. I only have water in the kettle. I have the tea bag in my cup. It brings water to a boil extremely fast and automatically shuts off. I really love that feature. There is no obnoxious noise to deal with. My mother had a whistling tea kettle when I grew up and I hated that noise. Amazon is such a trusted brand and the price is right! You can’t go wrong with this kettle. I have been using it every day for 7 months and there are no signs of it slowing down. I give this a big thumbs up! 👍🏻🥰

This little kettle punches above its weight. It heats water fast—like really fast—thanks to the 1500W power, and I’ve found myself using it daily for tea, instant coffee, and quick oatmeal. The 1-liter size is perfect for one or two people and doesn’t take up much counter space, which I appreciate in a smaller kitchen. This is wonderful and easy to use! I got this kettle because I kept eating water in microwave for instant Vietnamese coffees. One day my cup exploded. I found out that was not a good idea. So I got a kettle. Most of the time I have decaf. And I brew it because decaf must be brewed to taste good. But I promote myself to have delicious instant Vietnamese coffee a couple times a week. One of these times I'm racing to church choir practice and I don't have time. Right before I go to run to my car, I hit the little lever. In about 2 minutes there is boiling water. I take the kettle and I put it coffee to go cub where I have my instant Vietnamese coffee along with some other things (some healthy prymal, a little zero sugar mocha flavor, some pumpkin spice mix) use my frother and I mix it up. Add oatmeal afterwards. Put my sleeve on my cup and then run to my car. Drive over to church. This thing has saved me a lot of time and is better than doing it in the microwave and wondering if the cup's going to explode. Also, it's so easy since you just take the kettle off. Then just like that, you don't really have to worry about the heat. I just put the kettle in the sink when I'm done pouring. But I could probably leave it anywhere. I have to say it doesn't melt underneath the kettle. I just went for the least expensive kettle. And I'm a fan of Amazon products. So I bought this one. I highly recommend this kettle. It's been a lifesaver and it saves me a lot of time.

Ideal compact kettle for my ADA kitchen, which gives twelve inch (12") space between counter & shelf. Previously used a compact microwave to heat water. LOVE this kettle - it boils water quickly. I got a great deal on this through Amazon Resale and replaced a leaking borosilicate glass kettle from another brand. The Amazon Basics kettle seems well made and durable, and it heats the water quickly and retains heat longer. It looks great on the counter, and does not seem like it will start leaking. Heats water to the right temperature to pour for coffee within about 1 minute and it's easier to control the pour than with larger kettles. I currently use this along with the Melitta pour over coffee maker with the stainless steel carafe and locking lid.
