  • Absolutely perfect for my needs.
Color: Black Style: Without temperature control Pattern Name: Heater
This is really a near-perfect little heater for me. I can put this under, or on my desk, without risking my papers (or legs) bursting into flames. The heat it puts out is pretty amazing, so you need to keep everything at least 12 to 18 inches from it’s face, or it will get blazing hot in no time. It only draws 500 Watts, so I don’t have to worry that much about it overloading my circuit, like even a 1500 Watt iron or blow dryer can. Usually people that are going to use this on or under their desk will already have lots of things plugged in. The appearance is awesome. I’m a big fan of retro stuff (probably because I grew up in the 1960’s), and the plain grill works for me. I also like the single switch, which is located on the back, out of sight. All you see is the clean lines of the side case, and the grill. No temperature control, but if I want heat, I want heat. When it’s warm enough, I turn it off. Easy peasy. I tested the bottom safety switch, and of course it works perfectly. If the heater gets knocked over, it immediately shuts off. This is because if the airflow is blocked on one side or the other from tipping over, the heating element would get red hot and could possibly start a fire. No chance of any accidents like that happening with this safety switch. I also love how small it is. For the amount of heat it puts out, it’s pretty incredible, and I can put it in a suitcase if I want to travel with it, or even a briefcase if I want to take it to work. Hope this helps. ... show more

  • HARD TO PICK UP W/O AT LEAST FINGER GROOVES...
Color: Black Style: Without temperature control Pattern Name: Heater
..... to keep from burning your fingers. The plastic gets hot the 1st time you plug it in. The width span, although it is small, is wide for average sized hands. AND I REPEAT, THE PLASTIC GETS HOT. BE CAREFUL. 🔥 You need to "blow it out" the 1st time. However long. Maybe 20 mins. Let it get hot. It will turn off. Unplug it. Wait 30 mins. Plug back in & it should be OK. That was my experience. Past that it serves its purpose. It's small for localized "close up, in your face" heat. It's not meant to heat up a room unless it's a teeny weeny tiny room. If you are sitting in ONE spot, like on the couch or chair cuddled up watching a movie, or sitting in your office space at your desk, it's good for that. Getting your hands warm. ON/OFF switch. Straight 500 watts. That's IT at that price$$. IF YOU WANT MORE, YOU GOTTA GET A BIGGER BOAT!....get it? 😉 ... show more

  • Surprisngly good
Color: Black Style: Without temperature control Pattern Name: Heater
You know, I've bought small space heaters before. This one, for being probably the cheapest, is honestly the best. First, it's still running despite being almost 3 years old and only seeing use for a couple months tops every year. The last space heater I bought fizzled out after a year, and the one before that popped a heat element after a month. Both were more than double this thing's price. Second, its modest output is perfect for me. I mostly just stick it on the bottom shelf of my desk down by my feet to help keep my legs warm. If it starts getting too warm, which is rare, I can switch it off effortlessly and turn it back on once I need it again. A fan setting would mitigate this, but would also require constant fidgeting and adjusting. A simple medium output is easiest and honestly fine most of the time. It's quite small and not very powerful, so it's best used for personal heating rather than trying to warm any space larger than a computer desk. It's also fairly quiet, which is nice. I rarely hear it even over my computer fan. ABOUT THE CANCER WARNING: It's because the product contains plastics and putting the label on every unit is just easier than only putting it in orders to regions that require the warning. Honestly, if you think you're going to get cancer from running a space heater, you should probably be more worried about your central home heat. ... show more

  • If you're an "always cold" person, this is a great option for small office spaces.
Color: Black Style: Without temperature control Pattern Name: Heater
I'm an "always cold" person. Always have been. Tobias Funke is a Never Nude, I'm an Always Cold. I recently began working in a small basement office. It is roughly 10'x15' and, with the door closed, this little heat box brings the whole chilly room up to temperate. With the door open, it warms the room, but the most benefit is from the direct warm air being pushed in my direction (aim the thing at yourself for immediate toastiness, obviously). I wish: it had temperature control, that it was a grounded plug, and that the tip safety was more than a button on the bottom that could easily break. But honestly, for $18, this little thing rocks. Also, small enough to fit in a backpack for easy travel! Years ago I worked in a cubicle office and this would have been great as an "under the desk" option. ... show more

  • Exactly what I was looking for
Color: Blue Style: Without temperature control Pattern Name: Heater
I am a full time college student asynchronously at home, and I sit at my desk a lot working. My hand and arms get so cold, and I desperately wanted just a little desktop small heater I could turn on and off as I needed to warm my hand up. It has worked out exactly how I hoped. That heater puts out heat! It wants my entire room after a while! But I angle it onto my arm and hand so I don’t get my skin too hot. It’s absolutely perfect and I would recommend! ... show more

  • I like this heater for the price - with a few qualms
Color: Blue Style: Without temperature control Pattern Name: Heater
This heater is great if you want to heat a tiny local area. I use it under my table when my feet get cold. It's not enough heat to warm my upper body though. It does exactly what I want for a very cheap heater. It is also mostly made of metal - it doesn't smell like burning plastic like many other heaters out there today. It has no temperature control, and the tip-over safety switch allows it to run if it falls over and gets pushed against a wall or other vertical object. The safety switch is just a little plastic rod that sticks out the bottom that get pushed in when on a flat surface and this is a crapshot on a rug. I have to move it around a little to find a place where the safety engages. Given the description, it might not be for everybody and I would not buy it for kids, but it does what I want it to do for a good price. ... show more
