Good size, durable, and very easy to keep clean with the internal can

I’ve had this trash can for a little while now and honestly, I’m really happy with it. The 13.2-gallon size is perfect for my kitchen — it holds a good amount without taking up a ridiculous amount of space. I really like the soft-close lid, too. It closes quietly instead of slamming, which is a small thing but makes a noticeable difference. The foot pedal works smoothly, and having the removable inner bucket makes changing the bag and cleaning up much easier. The stainless steel finish looks nice and doesn’t seem to show fingerprints and smudges as much as I expected. It has a clean, simple look that fits in well with the rest of my kitchen. Overall, this feels like a solid, well-made trash can for the price. Nothing overly fancy, but it does exactly what I need it to do and looks good doing it. I’d definitely buy it again.

Best Kitchen Trash Can EVER

Sleek, quiet, easy to use. Lid rests on hydraulic button the eases it down after lifting with the sturdy foot pedal. You can open the lid wider to stay open while the entire insert pulls out by the easy-to-grab handles so bag can be pulled out without making a bunch of noise, bag changed and then return the insert into the main can. Then just put the lid back into normal position and let it close on it's own. It's completely silent. The asthetic design is very nice - the brushed metal finish would blend with most modern kitchens and the lid seals very well so odors don't escape. The can is light enough to move easily but heavy and balanced enough to keep from tipping, so could help keep nosy pets out. There is a hole along the back of the insert which, if the rim opening of your bag doesn't cling to the insert and is a bit loose after you fold it over the edge, you can poke the bag through the back, grab it from the inside, pull it gently tight around the rim and hold it there as you drop the insert back into the unit, and once the insert is settled let go and the bag should stay in place. Took me a couple of times to figure it out but it works well to do it that way. The Kroger brand kitchen bags are that way... a bit loose. But the Glad brand kitchen size bags are tighter and pretty much stay on their own. So it depends on what brand you get. I believe the hole is to allow air out as you fill the bag, but I found it has this dual purpose. Overall, I really love this unit (as much as any human being is opposed to love a trash can), and I'm going to buy one my one for each of my married kids as a gift and another one for upstairs. Even if they might seem pricey at first, it's a good quality and I expect it to last a long time. It seems very well made. Oscar the Grouch would be quite impressed. I'll never buy a "cheap" trash can again.

Has lasted 2 years without issues - happy with this purchase

Decided to wait a while to do this review so I can address durability. I have now had this trash can for about 2 years and am very happy with it. Other reviews mention that the lift mechanism breaks easily causing the lid to slam down or not close 100%. I have had zero issues with my can...still works and looks like new. As far as cleaning the exterior, I just wipe it with anti-bacterial wipes and dry with a papertowel. No problems there. The inside of the lid is rusting but I spray the interior with Lysol when I change the bag so this is the likely cause. RE: closing issues, you have to buy the correct size bag to avoid bunching and also tuck the bag in away from the closing mechanism when putting the inner can in place. But do those things and it works like a charm.

Well made and heavy built. The inside is removable which makes cleaning super easy. The foot lever is large and easy to use. I had to buy large rubber bands to hold the bags and sometimes the lid doesn’t quite close all the way without a tap of the hand, but overall am pleased.

Perfect Trash Can Finally!!

I absolutely love this trash can and I know how that sounds. I have been looking for the perfect trash can for my kitchen for a while and had actually decided i would not find what I was looking for. This can is perfect, I can fill it all the way to the top the lid opens and closes softly and my dog doesn’t even seem to smell anything in it. There is room to store extra bags under liner and liner lifts out easily. All in all the perfect trash can for me.

10/10 highly recommend- fabulous step feature helps to eliminate the nastiness of having to actually touch the top lid of a trash can in order to open it and works as it should- seamlessly and effortlessly with a soft close feature and eye catching design that allows the trash can to be set out in an area that you’d otherwise cringe to look at a trash can. It saves the eye sore, is stable and space saving and is easy to operate and looks good. What more is there in a trash can? Love it!
