Solid and well made, good value for the price. However be aware the tubes are a bit small. I break down my bass poles in two pieces at the end of the day so they can go in the holders and still clear the carport. That means the rod butt and the diameter of the upper section need to fit in the holder. No problem in the cheap plastic holders I have from Academy Sports. These are very tight. And I am talking lightweight bass rods. No way this would work even with just the butt of heavy rods or anything saltwater. ... show more

    • Only problem plastic inserts need to riveted down. It slips off when pulling out the rods.
