The fold up feature works exactly as advertised. It's a nice scooter but it is not stable on turns. I tried it in my driveway and almost tipped over. It's not safe. I'm 76 with limited mobility and have used mobility scooters for years and this is the first one I consider unsafe for me. Also, beware the third party seller will not pay return shipping. Getting the battery off to re-charge is not easy. It collides with a rear fender, and doesn't move out smoothly. Also, the instructions say to tighten every screw and bolt before each and every ride. That's tedious. It wouldn't be so bad, if it was only one size of screw or bolt. But it's two sizes of hex bolts plus a Philips screwdriver. Otherwise, the scooter is a smooth ride, and it does fold and unfold smoothly. When folded, it's easy to pull along, if it's in a balanced position. Overall, I'm glad I got it! I can take it to the zoo, instead of renting one of their scooters. ... show more

This item never left our family room. After charging the battery for 20 hrs. it would only move about 1 ft. before stopping. Tried to contact seller by phone but they only answered 2 times while negotiating a return. Finally got a reply and they said to box and ship item back to them and then they would reimburse cost for item and shipping cost. Well after 2 weeks after they had received item I had to contact them again for my refund (which they did that day) but they refused to refund my shipping cost of $230. ... show more
