    • Once you hear it, what you've paid no longer hurts
Big bang for your buck. Literally! Alpine engineering on this R-Series is definitely built to last. I have a 500 watt amplifier that I run at about 80 percent power and the subwoofer is barely putting in work and sounds absolutely amazing. Only one woofer is needed in my car, which I have in an enclosed alpine box. I believe even if priced at $200 would be a great deal. Very happy that I upgraded from a cheaper R-Series woofer and most likely will stay with Alpine for the long haul. Two two thumbs up all the way around for sure!! ... show more

    • I have never been so impressed , its loud it clear its perfect.
I was firstly caught with the price , after i got the product it was packaged proper even came with leads to jumper and change the Ohm rating. its currently in a ported box tuned around 60 - 80 Hz, powered by a Taramp 3000 watt, this thing plays quite well.

This sub is a beast. I have it paired with a Pioneer 5-channel with 600 dedicated to the sub at 2 Ohm. Inside of my 12 Focus it makes my girlfriend's hair float around a bit and it can be heard a long ways away. The sub itself sounds great and could handle nearly four times the power I'm putting to it. This is definitely worth the money. ... show more

These little beauties work great! Pair them up with Alpines A75M.. I find that I always have to turn them down.. Too much air movement.. Sound GREAT!

    • Mechanical failure
I hit a speed bump while it was playing and it sounded terrible after so I took it out of the box and there were broken pieces of the glue they use around the spider just broke off laying in the box. Cheap quality, sounded good… for like a month
