It is pretty accurate, not 100% but perfect for my son to use to find “treasure” in our back yard and at the park. He is very excited and I was surprised it actually worked. It works....ish.... It is very cheap. Lightweight plastic. There's no in between with it when it comes to volume, sensitivity, etc. Definitely for little kids beginning this. Was so hard to put together, very very tight fit to click the middle section together. I’m SO disappointed, this Broke after 2 hours of using it. The spin dial fell off after setting the sensitivity 2 different times for different depths. You cannot use this without the spin dial. Update - they did refund the full amount to me for this item.
