The only problem with this Teapot is that it is made in China. I love it and have never had a problem with handle or knob over heating and I have a gas stove! So easy to make a perfect pot of loose leaf teas.

I was excited to buy this teapot as I thought it looked beautifully designed. It turned out to be a huge disappointment. 1. Thermoplastic resin is just a fancy way of saying plastic. Both the handle and knob are plastic; they will melt on the stove if not careful. I don't want to pay $200 for a "kettle" that I can't use on the stove. 2. Finish is beautiful but scratches easily 3. The strainer holes are large and unsuitable for most loose leaf teas 4. Made in China I expected better from Alessi. ... show more
