I recently received this "AKCISOT Wall Clock, 8 Inch Modern Wall Clocks Battery Operated, Small Silent Non Ticking Clock Decorative for Kitchen, Bathroom (Black Gold)" and I'm a huge fan of this clock's simplistic, minimalist design. It's as "low profile" as an analog clock can get, I think, and it's a great addition to my ever-changing "Wall O' Clocks." This little clock was one I stumbled across while doing "general browsing." I collect clocks and have a constantly-changing display in my living room with about 3-dozen right now. Over time, the collection shifts. Pieces get swapped out. A new "find" comes along and then already-hanging clocks are displaced. The layout changes and the number of holes in my wall is frightening. When the layout shifts and I end up with gaps I don't want, smaller clocks are the solution I've come to trust, and it was in looking for small (under 12") clocks that I came across this petite beauty. This clock is only 8" across, which makes it a surprisingly perfect size to fill in negative space between much larger timepieces. Some of the clocks on my wall are close to 48" across, and their placement kind of determines the positioning of anything smaller, and this little guy is a perfect piece for closing some of the gaps. The clock is very simplistic. The face is a solid, matte black and the numbers are in a modern, sans serif font in a rose-gold hue. The hands are unpainted, but their lighter wood tone matches well. The finished effect is very simplistic, but nonetheless striking. It's little, it's bold, and it's even a bit on the elegant side, making this a very versatile piece with almost unlimited decorative potential. This clock could be used anywhere and fit in. Kitchen? Check. Living room? Check. Office? Check. Bedroom? Check. I think you get the idea! The clock operates off a single AA battery. I don't recall the instructions mentioning the need for a carbon zinc AA battery, but that's what I used. In the process of collecting so many clocks, I learned about carbon zinc batteries being preferred for wall clocks due to their low voltage. I have no idea if they're truly better, but carbon zinc batteries are comparably priced, so that's what I'm using, and so far it has kept time perfectly. Oh, and as it has no secondhand, it's silent - yay! The only negative to this clock is that the face is not protected. For the time being, I have no issue with that and I'm very happy with the clock's appearance amongst the others. When it comes time to pull them all down and pack 'em up to move, however, this is a clock that may not make the cut. That's not to say I don't like it, because I do, but that because the face of this clock is exposed, the hands run the risk of physical damage, and it's just very difficult to *effectively* protect an unprotected clock-face. If you know you'll be moving at some point and plan to take the clock with you, save the little plastic protector that was taped to the face when you unboxed it. This clock was priced at only $9.99 when I placed my order and even though its face is utterly exposed, it looks great, seems well made, and I would definitely order it again. Happy to recommend!

I got this clock for my husband’s office because he’s been using an IKEA clock that ticks, and the sound drives me (not him) crazy. The clock is extremely simple – no frame, no glass, no second hand. It’s just a handsome black circle with coppery-gold numbers, hour and second hands, and a battery and mechanics box on the back. The clock face is matte black plastic. The numbers seem to be either painted or a thin decal. The arms – though to the eye they seem to match the color of the numbers – are wood-grained. I don’t think this clock would stand up to much handling, but on a wall it should be fine. So far (one day running) it is silent as promised, and seems to keep time. The only thing that distinguishes this clock from thousands of others for me is that it’s just a very handsome modern clock. It looks great on the wall. I will say that you need to be sure of the size – the description is accurate in the picture with measurements of 8” diameter; but the pictures of the clock on the wall in the product description – especially the kitchen -- are ridiculously out of proportion. It’s not a large clock. That said, if you like the look -- as we do -- it’s a very nice one.

Despite the fact that the numbers are gold and the hands are wooden, from just a short distance they really look like a perfect match of the exact same color. It looks stylish. There’s no glass over the hands, so hang it in a protected area where pets and toddlers will not grab the hands. The description says “silent”, and that is true. When I put in the battery, it was hard to tell if it was working. There is no second hand and no sound, so I had to put my ear directly next to the battery to hear a faint hum that told me it was going. I like how the numbers are big and bold and there are all 12 of the numbers. I am putting this in my son’s room to help him learn to tell time on an analog clock. He already has a digital clock, but needs practice seeing how that looks on an analog clock.

Wanted something unobtrusive that could blend into the wall and this was a perfect choice. First off the page description is true, this clock is 8ish inches which is about two-ish light switches long (as pictured), so it's never going to be the centerpiece of any background. Onto the product itself, I liked the gold lettering against the smooth black finish as a nice contrast. It really emphasized the minimalist nature I was going for. Aside from the clock hands there's only two parts in the back, the battery (1 Double AA) and mechanism to change time. Has a small opening to hang via hook, also very lightweight. Be careful as it's easy to smudge via fingerprints, but wiping it down before hanging should fix it. Another possible issue (I found due to my clock placement) is the clock hands and how easy it is to adjust manually, there's nothing holding the hands in place so a stray touch might have you reading the wrong time. This is a really minor issue if you do it normally and place it somewhere higher on the wall but I figured I should mention it, no stars taken off because I'll probably just do that.
