I used these rods in my sweater closet in a vertical position to separate the folded stacks of sweaters to prevent from falling over. These rods are very sturdy and easy to use. I have ordered several times in different lengths. They are very handy organizing tools.

At first, I thought these were great. Seem to be substantial and I liked the diameter of the rod. However, I guess the springs are the cheaply made part of it. They are not as adjustable as one would think and when I moved it (two of them) to a different location in my window frame, it did not hold the adjustment and ended up falling multiple times. I finally had to accept that they would be located lower than I wanted. It's on a porch and seasonal, so not a big problem, but I would not buy more of these for other uses. ... show more

Our new apartment windows are high, so neighbors can see in if we do not have curtains. So we got these tension rods for some sheers that would diffuse the visibility at night but not block light during the day. They fit the window interiors perfectly and adjust easily to a nice tension. The ends have a rubbery texture so they don't slip or slide down. These rods will get the job done but they are not sturdy and do not hold tension well. I used them to hold a curtain up in a doorway. They hold the curtain up but don’t touch it or it will fall easily.

We are using these for an odd purpose to make sure a window doesn’t slide down. So we are using these vertically not horizontally. The one end is pushing on the top window to keep it up in place. The other end is braced on the top of the bottom window of a double hung if you get my drift. We have the pair installed in this manner and they are very secure. A MacGyver for a window that won’t latch as the window is out of wack after having a window a/c in place. So until we can fix it these tension rods are doing the trick! ... show more
