  • Love it. Easy and quick
Color: Grey+White
Arrive very quickly. All parts were included and the instructions were clear. Assembly was easy. Overall very pleased with the price, design, assembly and construction of the coop and run. It is not Fort Knox and will not last for ever years in weather, but for the price and ease of setup well worth the money! Note-assemble near where you will use it. It is not easily movable for one person across terrain. ... show more

  • NOT Cedar. But still good for the price.
Color: Grey+White
Okay, whoever said this is made of cedar doesn’t know their woods. This is obviously NOT made of cedar. It is a cheap soft wood. That said, it is still completely worth it! You won’t get crazy quality for this price anywhere unless you can build a coop yourself. Then considering current lumber prices, I HIGHLY DOUBT you will be able to build a similar design for the same price, unless you have access or connections to affordable lumber. I’ve had 3 of these coops for 4-5 months and they’re holding up great. However, I did spend the extra money, time and effort to repaint the whole thing with exterior grade paint, replace the hardwares, and hardware cloth with a thicker gauge hardware cloth. Probably spent way too much extra expenses to reinforce them. However, if you actually calculate out the expenses of buying materials, tools and your time to build a coop from scratch (IF you don’t already have the materials/tools on hand), this coop is worth it. So summary: Cheap, soft wood. Take the time to repaint and reinforce it, don’t drag/throw it around, and it will last a considerable about of time. ... show more

  • Cheap - you get what you pay for
Color: Grey+White
I’ve had this coop and matching run for 4 months. It’s not holding up to Florida weather. The wood is splitting and bowing. It’s also very small, maybe good for 2 or 3 full size chickens. I recommend reinforcing the corners and adding better predator proof hardware cloth. The way it’s installed all you’d need is to push it from the outside and it could come undone. ... show more

  • For the price... its a decent coop for 2 chickens. Some suggestions though.....
Color: Grey+White
I'm giving this coop 5 stars for these reasons 1. This is a good price for what you get... YES, you could get a better, sturdier coop elsewhere... bot not for this price 2. It has great features like accessible nesting boxes, multiple doors, perches in the coop, a removable tray, and an outside handle to control the coop door. 3. It was really easy to build and most pieces came semi- assembled. (2 people suggested tho). 4. It's cute, and I like that the "run" area is taller than most coops like it...... Now, some SUGGESTIONS: This is very matte, painted wood. I added some polyurethane after it was assembled for some extra protection from the weather. I suggest doing this if you want it to last longer. Also, this is a little top heavy and I'm almost positive it would break if it was blown over so, I suggest anchoring it to a fense or something. I didnt have a fense so I put two 3 foot t-posts behind mine and anchored it to them. Lastly, I plan on building an extra run around this coop to let my ladies explore... if you have larger breed chickens... I would do the same. This isn't tiny, but it isn't going to give your chickens too much room for roaming around. And FYI- this is shipped in two boxes so don't be surprised by that. In my pictures, you will see my two chickens for scale... the black one is a very moderate sized chicken... the grey chicken is a Jersey Giant (one of the largest breeds of chickens... a real chonker of a lady) Overall, if you're on a budget- this coop is pretty nice and it's what I expected. ... show more

  • Not suitable for any live animal
Color: Grey+White
We purchased this coop as a starter chicken coop. This coop is not suitable or safe for any animal to live in. We had it outside for 1 week before I wrote this review. 1. The screen was not properly attached to the wood frames when we received it out of the box - we had to staple the screen on multiple areas to make it safer or else predators could get in. 2. There is a huge gap where the side door meets the side panel. It allowed a lot of rain to drip inside the coop. Not acceptable as chickens should not be wet inside the coop. 3. Multiple areas where the wood already came split, or became split after less than 1 week of it being outdoors. The material is extremely flimsy. It's extremely light. 4. First rain we had, the coop was unable to withstand rain / wind (just a regular storm, not a hurricane) and the roof opened up, ripping the roof off, flipping the whole thing over. Thank god my chickens were not inside or they would be dead. Overall, this product is not suitable for live birds. It's not durable or well made, not waterproof. It serves as a very expensive doll house, and that's probably it. It's honestly one of the worst made products I've ever bought online - I am ashamed to tell people I actually spent money on it. ... show more

  • Easy to build, great features
Color: Grey+White
The instructions were very clear. The coop went together really well. I like all the doors and the fact you can open the top. I put a coat of varathane on it and pressure treated wood for a base. Will see how long it lasts. Bought another since I liked it so much.

  • second Aivituvin coop, still mostly satisfied
Color: Grey+White
We are also using an AIR23 we bought last year, which is a good size for 2-3 hens. This one (AIR31) has some thoughtful features, like more doors, a handle for the sliding door and adjustable ventilation, but the roosts are too close together for 4 birds to perch comfortably. Using the wheels, even on a completely smooth surface, stresses the joints a lot. In the photo, you can see where a factory-made joint fell apart. Like with the AIR23, we built a pressure-treated foundation so the coop does not directly touch the ground, added a hardware cloth base to that foundation to prevent rodents from digging in, and we oiled all the wood with linseed oil for protection. We also had to plane down the waste tray box; it was sticking in its slot. But even with the added work, buying all the pieces precut and mostly finished is definitely cost-effective. ... show more
