  • Nice Little Coop
Relatively easy to assemble. It says two people are needed but I was able to do it by myself in a day. The wood is light, which is good for moving it around the yard, but it needs a bit of extra predator-proofing. I used silicone and caulk to seal the edges under the different roof parts, inside the nest boxes, and on some of the outside seams. I'm also planning to paint it to give it a little more longevity against the weather. On a side note, I didn't know that the coop comes in two boxes, which for me were delivered on separate days and got me very worried, but I will say the customer service person was very reassuring, and everything arrived eventually. Just a headsup to expect two packages! ... show more

  • We can do better for $280
It’s very cheaply manufactured materials. Definitely not worth almost $300. While assembling the wood was cracking and splitting. I’m not sure it’ll last very long in the elements. UPDATE 6/27/23 This coop is also NOT PREDATOR PROPF. There are two windows on each side of the top half of this coop. Only part of the windows have hardware cloth and the rest is a clear plastic. It reminds me of what a swim float is is made of. This is held on by a few staples on the inside of the window. Raccoons will have no problem tearing it off and mutilating everyone inside the coop. Just don’t purchase this unless you have a another barrier in between the chickens and predators. ... show more

  • Good value coop
Arrived undamaged and assembled easily with 2 people. The wood is not high quality and the paint was thin and spotty. I caulked up all seams and roof screws and repainted with oil based exterior paint to protect the wood and give a barn appearance. I also built a pressure treated 2x4 base for it to sit on and keep it off the ground. Added a rooster weather vane for looks. ... show more

  • Info you need to know
I suggest using some construction adhesive to strengthen. You will need a 1"×3"x12" piece of lumber to use where steps come down. Don't plan on getting your shoulders through the door. Buy a fishing net to catch chickens.

  • Good value for the money!
Value for money, good quality, spacious room for my chickens!

  • It will fall apart in the winter weather.
This coop is not even a year old and has fallen apart in the pacific NW winter. Its not sturdy nor does it keep things dry when it rains or snows. Ended up moving my chickens into another house in order to keep them warm and dry for the remainder of the winter.
