The media could not be loaded. We received these today. Was able to get a good enough charge on them for it to light up tonight. I cannot day how pleased we are with this product. It looks like real flames. Pros: real flame effect. Solar which means no harsh chemicals in our yard and not harsh on our power bill. Cons: the pole is way to short for our needs. But we have been using older tiki torch holders for solar lights so I used those. If these came with a 5 or 6 foot pole they would be really awesome. The lights arrived quickly. They seemed to be of a good quality plastic (housing), with two metal stems and sturdy plastic spikes. They have rather large solar panels as compared to other solar powered lights I have had in the past. The flames do look real and are somewhat interesting to watch. I'm giving them five stars not so much because of the lights themselves, but because one arrived D.O.A. With just one email I had another one on the way to me. In this day and age it's great to deal with a seller who stands 100% behind their product. I've changed by one star review to a 5 star review for the simple reason that the seller reached out to me, and offered to ship me a new set of lights at no charge, which occurred quite soon after seeing my first post. Even as to my prior one star review, I noted that I was impressed with the flame look produced by these lights. I do not exaggerate when I say the flame quality is about as close to real looking as I could ever have imagined. Was a little skeptical when looking at the pictures, but the wow factor kicked in as soon as it got dark and these things fired up. Hopefully, you won't encounter any functional issues - but if you do, odds are the seller will make things right. ... show more

These garden lamps are amazing!!! The pair that arrives come pre-charged and it will last for the first night. Let us talk about the design of the solar garden lamps. The overall base/rod of the garden light is made of plastic. It is pretty strong and pretty easy to assemble. I would recommend first putting in the stake side first before attaching the solar garden lamp to the stake. The reason is it is easier to place the stake into the ground then to try and force the whole lamp into the ground. You really risk breaking the rod. What is unique about this lamp is that it comes with an on and off switch. This makes it easy for you to control if you want the lights on or off especially during times where they may not be getting a lot of direct sunlight and you want to stop use to allow it to recharge. We proceed to the battery and lighting. The lighting is a very mellow lighting. It was design to look like a torch or fireplace light. It gives a nice calming light effect to the garden or lawn area. There is no other setting but the flame lighting but I have not any issues with the default lighting. The battery from what I can tell can last about one night on a full sunny day charge. After a full days charge the lights turn on for about 8-9 hours before it beings to dim due to lack of power but by that time dawn is coming anyways. It is also water resistant so you do not have to worry about installing it in a place where it'll stay dry. It works with sprinkler and hose water. Aside from dunking it into water, these thing will work with water coming from sprinklers. Overall these lights are great, they work well, they are easy to install, and they come with an on off switch when you are looking at long term no use. These lights came well packaged and in great shape. The flickering effects are quite convincing if you don't look too closely for too long. The solar charging seems to work well - overcast wintery days provide at least a couple hours of lighting. Customer service from the seller was outstanding. The lights seem well made, but I cannot attest to the long term durability. UV light has variable effects on plastics - some UV protection would be great for items such as these. Love these solar powered torch lights. Incredibly realistic to the point that my neighbors thought they were real flames. The charging works great. I get at least six or seven hours of operation off a full charge, and they also re-charge well on cloudy days. I live in Central Florida and these torches have withstood an entire Summer of heat, humidity, and heavy downpours incredibly well. Very well built, weatherproof, and stylish. Although not enough of an issue to affect my review, I do wish these came with taller stakes. The short stakes provided were of no use to me, so I ended up buying 3/4 inch gray electrical PVC pipe and crafted my own taller stakes.
