If I could give it 6 stars I would. I honestly can't believe how much time and hassle this simple device has saved me. If you own a pool, this is one of those products that makes you wonder why you waited so long to buy it. Installation was quick (5 minutes) and straightforward, and once I set the desired water level, it has worked exactly as advertised. No more dragging out the hose every few days, no more guessing if the water level is too low, and no more worrying about coming home to find the pool needing a refill. It automatically keeps the water at the perfect level with virtually no effort. The build quality is impressive, with the stainless steel hose and brass fittings feeling much more durable than I expected. And it will hold up well in the elements and gives me confidence that it will last for many seasons. The body is used as a weight and simply filled with water to provide plenty of counterbalance needed without using rocks or a sandbag. The biggest benefit is peace of mind. Whether it's a hot week with lots of evaporation or time away from home, I know the pool water level will stay where it needs to be. It has reduced maintenance, saved time, and made pool ownership much easier. Would recommend setting up a splitter and a second hose so you can leave this connected permanently and still use the other hose for watering etc. Also, unless you have a large lip on your pool edge, would leave the rear adjustable feet off or screwed all the way down. But, it works fine whether at a slight angle or flush. If you're on the fence, don't be. This is one of the best pool accessories I've purchased. Wish I had bought it long ago! Highly recommended.

I purchased this item in 2023. It is an excellent product that has worked perfectly until the start of this season (2027). When I started to use it this year, it did not completely stop the flow of water at the correct level. I believe that there is a buildup of scale in the area of the valve gasket, as I could stop the flow of water by gently lifting the float. I would surmise that this is a somewhat common problem. The item has a lifetime warranty, so I contacted Arlie about it and requested that they send me a refurb kit if one was available. I did this in the evening on on a Friday. Jack responded early on Monday morning. He apologized for the trouble and asked whether I would prefer a refund or replacement. It's a great product, so I asked for the replacement. Later on Monday he said that he would send one out, on Tuesday morning he said that he had sent it via expedited shipping, and it arrived on Wednesday. WOW! Don't we all wish that every seller of every product would behave in this fashion? What a refreshing - and appreciated - transaction this was! In the end, the product is excellent and the customer service is top-notch (Thanks, Jack!). I highly recommend this product and would have no hesitation buying from Airlie again.

I purchased my original unit in 2022 and it worked perfectly. Then, in 5/2024, I noticed that when the pool level reached the desired level, the unit would not shut off completely. I contacted Airlie and provided them with my invoice from Amazon, the immediately responded to my email and sent a replacement unit. Nice to know that there are still companies making products in the USA and standing behind them. Airlie has a lifetime warranty on this unit and I will continue to shop and support them. 1/29/26 update - The replacement unit that was sent worked for several months and then started to leak water after the desired level was reached. I checked the rubber disk that is supposed to stop the water and it appeared to be in good shape. Today, the stainless steel connector sprung a leak with water shooting up like a fountain. I have reached out to Airlie describing these issues and am awaiting their response. The water leakage may be due to the pressure from the supply line is too high, so I have asked them about a pressure reduction valve to correct this issue. Will update upon hearing back from Airlie. NOTE: The only reason that I gave a 4 out of 5 for sturdiness, is the rubber washer that sits on the float is the culprit for causing the unit to leak. Other than that, the unit is sturdy and solid.

I purchased the Pool Water Leveler back in 2024 and it has worked great the last two years during the spring summer and fall months. This tool has been a lifesaver with the Texas heat and the evaporation of water from my pool. Unfortunately, a few weeks ago, the unit developed a leak, so I reached out to Airlie and they sent a replacement unit the next day! Not only is their product great, but their customer service is also GREAT!!!

Update: adding another star because Airlie responded the next business day to my request to get a new valve washer. The offered me a complete new unit and said it should last many years. I'm declining that offer since I've been able to do a repair on this and an older unit I now have two functioning filler and I don't need a third. Having read a LOT of reviews and comments on this and other similar units that use a float valve design it seem failure of the rubber washer/gasket/seal is a common issue. I think one issue is it can get windy where I am - we'll get actual substantial waves on the pool and the Airlie could be activating thousands of times a day when it is like that. There is one company Staypoolizer who offer a unit where the plastic water inlet which pushes into the rubber is replaced with stainless steel - they specifically claim it eliminates "cutting". But I'm not going to spend $150 on one of those to find out - I'll just keep checking my Airlie's valve rubber seal and rotate preemptively to prevent failure when I'm not expecting it. BTW almost every filler I've look at has some kind of complaints about mechanical failures of some sort. This is a relatively cheap and simple solution that you can maintain to last years - and it saves you the effort of fabricating your own from a trough filler and other random parts. The only system I've seen that is relatively fool proof involves an electronic sensor and a smart water supply controller that turns on periodically, senses the water level and then fills until the water is high enough and shuts off. It does that on a schedule so between times it is not doing anything. But even that has an electronic wireless sensor with batteries and requires a smart home automation service to manage it so plenty of modes of failure there. Plus it costs way more than this Airlie. It's a different tactic but ultimately everything can fail. Added a photo of the rubber that was cut through - see the circle about the screw which is where the water inlet presses up against the rubber. Loosen the screw and rotate to get some fresh rubber under the inlet and you're done! Original review: Giving this 3 stars for now pending resolution of my recent problem - but before then I'd have given it 5. I've had this product 11 months and it has been working faithfully through a hot Vegas summer and cool winter. I added a hose quick connect with a shut-off valve on it at the leveler so I could easily turn off the water to the filler when I'm in the pool - that stops the pssst, psssst, pssst as waves in the pool trigger it. All good - simple and effective. But in the last few weeks I noticed my Airlie was hissing quietly even at night. Its not that hot here yet and I wouldn't have thought our water level was low. I started to wonder if I had a pump leak or something. Then this week I noticed it was clearly putting a lot of water in the pool all the time and my skimmers were full to the top. So I checked out Airlie and sure enough it was not shutting off, even if I hold the float closed and tight. I see there's a small black rubber valve (looks like a suction cup) that covers an inlet hole - having hard water I wondered if the valve is clogged with calcium build up or something. So I gave it a good clean plus a rinse with some descaler. Unfortunately no joy - still doesn't shut off properly. Then I suspect maybe my water pressure increased - when I moved in I had to add a whole-house pressure reducer because it was at 90 psi! I bought a pressure gauge and it says 52 psi. On this web page it says up to 60 psi is okay. AFAIK about 50 psi is what they set it too when I added the house pressure reducer and there's no reason for it to have changed. I noticed someone else asking about replacing the rubber valve - I'm wondering if it wears out or is defective? I really don't want to have to buy another one - and if I do it probably wouldn't be this brand unless they can send me a part to fix it. Plus the filler not shutting off - that's a big deal. No one wants to think about coming home to a flooded back yard and huge water bill! Anyway I have contacted Airlie directly via their website and I'll see what they say - I'll add more info as this story develops.

I purchased a pool leveler in 2024 I had no issues at all with it , well this summer it would not shut off I was going to buy a new one and saw it had a life time warranty on it that I was not aware of of I sent a email on a sat afternoon , surprisingly the next morning on a Sunday I received an email saying that they would ship one out immediately on Tuesday morning. I received it installed it and it works great. I was very surprised at their prompt and quick response. I would definitely purchase again or suggested to anyone I know.

worked as promised and easy to set up however after a few years the feet were getting lost and more troubling was the hardware quality; the steel threaded to knurled knobs rusted dropping pcs of rust into the pool which stains of course; I'm replacing this now with an all plastic model with hopes for zero corrosion risk; I have not reached out to manuf. as I have no desire to face the same situation down the road...
