  • Easy to use and affordable
We needed to fill air in two of our bikes and this was very easy and compact to use. Nothing fancy, and we can keep it in our car when we travel or want to take our bikes out, it won't be a nuisance. Also, great price!

  • Easy to use, comes with multiple connectors
This tire inflator is charged via cable and is easy to set up the desired pressure or pressure mode (e.g ball, car tire). Works within few buttons pressed. It is not as loud as other portable inflators.

  • Excellent tool to keep in the vehicle
Works like a charm, no more putting quarters in a gas station air pump

  • Very convenient and easy to use
The display and controls on this tire inflator are easy to read and understand. You can charge this cordless inflator either with the USB cord or the cord that plugs into a cigarette lighter in the vehicle. The instructions say you can also run it while plugged in, but with the length of the cord this doesn't seem very useful if you're trying to inflate a car tire. I didn't try it while plugged in, but it was really easy to use after it was charged. It's great that you can select what type of thing you are inflating (ball, bike tire, car, ...) and it adjusts the allowed pressure ranges. You just switch the connector to match what you want to inflate. You can also select manual and it allows you to change between different units (PSI, bar, ...). Screwing the hose onto the device and the tire is easy to do. The device gives the actual pressure and gave an accurate reading. After setting the pressure you want, a simple press of a button starts the motor and it begins inflating. I noticed that the battery level indicator seems to drop fairly quickly, but it got the job done without running out of power. It inflated a low tire from 29 to 40 PSI with no issues. This also has a nice added feature - a light that you can set on either steady, flashing, or flashing red. You can cycle through these settings using the same button used to cycle through the type of item you are inflating. A nice added convenience and safety feature. ... show more

  • convenient and portable, but some features are lacking
positives: - I was able to pump up a tire from 30-35 psi in just under a minute. - it was very portable, and very convenient to use. - not too loud, but not exactly quiet. Pretty much what you expect from a pump like this. - the 12V car adapter (lighter) cord is a good length (10 ft) if you have to power it directly to pump up a tire. - the status panel is very clear and informative. - the thing is nice and compact, and with everything in the small bag provided it still fits nicely in the glove compartment. negatives: - I'm not sure if the battery charge status indicator is working properly. It shows the charge level with a 3 bar system (1 bar minimum charge, 3 bars maximum charge). When I first charged it, it took about an hour and it showed 3 bars. When I went to use it the next day it showed 1 bar, but it was able to inflate all four tires on my car. I charged it again (took about an hour), and again when I came back a few hours later it showed 1 bar. I dont know if it is an issue with the battery actually discharging too quickly, or just the indicator. - while it comes with a couple of adapters for different pumping uses (needle adapter for balls, tapered adapter for inflatable toys, bike tire adapter), there is no quick attach/release adapter for tire valves, which is pretty standard on any pump I've ever used for car tires. With this one you have screw it onto the valve which is a pain. ... show more

  • Great, not perfect, portable tire inflator
Like other small portable tire inflators, this Carsun portable tire inflator being sold by IIQ is better suited for tires smaller than light truck (LT) tires. I tested it on an F350 with 275/70R18 tires that run at 80 PSI and inflating from 78 to a set 81 PSI ran the battery down before finishing two tires. The measured tire pressure was accurate up to 83.5 PSI, but only when the compressor was not running. On both LT tires the pump showed a lower PSI while running than what it changed to after the pump stopped. With the stop pressure set to 81 PSI, starting the pump showed the tire pressure climb from 78 to 78.5, 79, 79.5, 80 and then the pump stopped and the displayed pressure changed to 83.5. Doing the same thing with a Prius tire, the display showed the pump had reached the set pressure, 35 PSI, for several seconds before cutting off. The tire had been inflated to 38 psi. There is not an easy way to bleed air with this model of Carsun portable tire inflator to drop the tire pressure to a specific pressure. Attaching and removing the hose from an LT tire always dropped the air pressure by 1 PSI by the time I quickly screwed the hose on or off: the manual says to expect to lose 1 to 2 psi. The screw on connector keeps the hose from coming loose but is not as convenient as a quick connect found on many other tire inflators. With the LT tires, the hose was too short for the air compressor to set on the ground. A longer hose would go toward being a 5 star tire inflator instead of 4. The display is big, bright, and easy to read. Too bad the control dial positions are not bright and easy to read: they are black on black images. Also, my personal preference would be for the battery status to be shown as percentage of charge instead of just 3 bars inside the outline of a battery. I set the pump on a brick while it was doing one of the LT tires. That side of the pump is now scratched. Noise is less with this air pump than any other 12v tire inflator I've used. It is not quiet, just less noisy. I have a faster 12v tire inflator, but it only runs from 12v car power. Being able to top off the tires without running a power wire around the car is much faster and more convenient. This Carsun inflator does that well. The battery does not last long enough to do more than top off tires, but having the 12v power cord means I can run the inflator longer if I need to (just not as conveniently). UPDATE: I brought this tire inflator in from the garage to do the quarterly battery charge top off and the battery display showed just one bar of charge: it should be holding the charge must better than that! Good thing this inflator can work from battery or 12v car power plug. No battery-only tire inflators for my family! Although the charging port is USB type C, I could only charge if the cable was hooked to a power source with a USB type A cable end. Type C to type C got no response from the Carsun. Only the Custom mode (the default one when powered on) will remember the last setting used. The preset modes (Beach toy, Ball, Bicycle, Motorcycle, and Car) do not remember changes. Most show the pressure as PSI, but Motorcycle and Car come up as BAR. You have to repeatedly hold down the Light (left side) of the control to switch from BAR to PSI, and it will go back to BAR when the mode is changed or power cycled. Don't be too quick to start using the controls when turned on. I've found if I press a control too soon, something other than what the control is supposed to do will happen (Light turned off unit, Mode turned on the pump). This tire inflator has many nice features and works. Worth having. ... show more
