We had been carrying around one of the standard cannister style compressors in our RV for a couple of years. It was 150 psi max, but as most people know, filling the 110 psi+ tires on an RV is near impossible. So I invested in the Viair 45053 RV edition. It was pricey, but I thought maybe it would make life easier. And it did. The unit weighs less and is smaller than the compressor I was carrying around before. It also comes in a bag with pockets for the attachments and hoses, so everything is more consolidated and compact while in storage. Things to know before buying: * This does not plug into a normal wall outlet. It attaches to your vehicle's battery. * This unit does not have a cannister (in the normal sense) and operates oil free (keeps it lightweight and small). * Filling a 110 psi tire can take a while, depending on how deflated the tire is. It's not a fast process. Don't get impatient. * You'll be a lot happier if you can use the screw-on adapter to fill the tires because it will save your hands. Take advantage of it when you can. Honestly, I was expecting to be disappointed simply because so much stuff I buy for the RV on here turns out to be 'less than optimal'. :-) But I am not disappointed. I've used this item to inflate the RV tires (all 6) and even our e-bike tires. I'm hoping it's the last compressor we need for years to come. ... show more

Pricey but worth it. Super quiet, lightweight, and easy to use. I went back and forth about what air compressor to get for my Class A motor home. My motor home has 245 / 75 / R22.5 tires that need to run between 90-100 psi. My Bostich compressor will barely get my tires to 90psi. It just doesn’t push enough CFM. I looked at all the other options and decided on the VIAIR simply because of size. I didn’t want to give up half of one of my storage bins to a 50lb compressor and they can be very noisy. Most of the time I am serving my tires in the morning before getting on the road. I didn’t want to be worried about disturbing the camp ground. The VIAIR is amazingly quiet. It’s lightweight and easy to hook up. When I’m done , it disappears into the back of the storage bin. Yes it’s pricey, but really only about $120 more than the other brand I was looking at, but not positive it would do what I needed it to. ... show more

I like the compressor, the bag, the accessories and yes it’s capable of 120 psi. Just wish it had a 120volt plug since it’s being marketed as an RV quality unit and most if not all RVs have an exterior power outlet on both sides of the rig. That’s the only reason i’m saying 4/5, petty yes but at that price and with that marketing it just sort of makes sense. ... show more

This is absolutely ideal for any Class A RV owner. The length of the single chord allows me to connect to my house / chassis batteries (each side of the coach) and extend the pressure hose from the back to the front tires without moving the pump. An interesting note that caught me a bit off guard, when you flip the switch on the unit will begin to build pressure, when it reaches a certain point it turns off until you release air from the device (it made me think that it lost power or died, but it simply saves power until you release air from your device). I have another air pump for my car which continuously runs no matter what (it too uses 12v source power). Again, this may cost a bit more, but I absolutely love that it has the pressure gauge, air input & release all in one simple, easy to use device that can handle the pressures of a Class A RV tire (110 pounds in my case). ... show more
