Usually, when I read a product description, I expect there to be some hyperbole and "market speak" to some degree. This item's description is dead on. I am so impressed by this thing when I unpacked it and charged it for my first use. My Cadillac CTS Coupe has one tire that has an ultra-slow leak, losing about 5 PSI a week or so. The weather has been cold so I expect pressures to drop some anyway. I took this out and chose the custom option and set it to 35 PSI. I went through all four of my tires, adding 7 pounds to the "problem child" and a couple each to two others and the last one was already at 35. Not counting my fumbling connection processes, it took less than 5 minutes to do all of them and it left the battery at full, which dropped to 3/4 a few minutes later. I was impressed by the fact that just connecting to the tire with the unit on gives you the current pressure and its accuracy is adequate for me. When I got in my car an hour later and went through the Driver Information features, it showed all four tires at 34 PSI. I call that accurate enough! The connection is secure and easy to make with almost zero hissing. IT IS IMPORTANT TO NOT SET THIS UNIT DOWN ON THE LAWN. Found out the hard way when it started blowing pieces of dried grass up at me when I set it down!. I can imagine it sucking up sand and other debris so be careful where you set it down. The flashlight and phone charging capabilities I will probably never use, but I still like the idea of having them. The size of the battery and my experience so far reassures me that it will have juice when I need it. Highly recommend this unit. ... show more

OMG am I ever impressed with this portable inflator. I got so tired of asking the husband to check and fill my tires and it not happening that I decided to take responsibility for them myself. Two of my vehicles both had the low tire pressure warning come on and I decided to order this inflator after comparing the specs on all of them offered at Amazon. I bought the perfect machine. I watched a video on Amazon and understood the operation better. Thank you for that. I went straight to my vehicles and hooked the inflator up and yes...low tires...26 PSI, not 33. The husband ventured out in the cold to watch me struggle and see how long it took, expected long delays on each tire. SURPRISE. I INFLATED EACH TIRE IN ABOUT 60-90 SECONDS AND IT WAS SO SIMPLE A CHILD COULD HAVE DONE IT. What a fantastic piece of equipment this is. I am going to buy one for each of my vehicles. I purchased the NUSTE tire inflator to add to part of a compact kit for the family truck for road trips (and maybe extended local trips. The other item was a portable jump starter.) Being in SoCal, it felt necessary to have since one can travel through water, snow and desert in the same day with a short drive. This is a small box-shaped device, feeling a little less than a pound in weight, and I think a bit taller and thicker than a pocket dictionary. Just like larger hardware compressors (or smaller aquarium air pumps) a motor vibrates to force air out of a tube. While the NUSTE tire inflator is bit noisy, it’s not as loud as I expected - probably a tad quieter than a blender. The most useful feature to me is that the user can pre-program the exact pressure to be inflated through a simple digital interface, and uniformly inflate vehicle tires or reach target pressure for air mattresses or sports balls, etc. I was able to top off truck tires within a few PSI in under 5 minutes, though I imagine it would take probably 5 minutes to get add an additional 10 PSI. I haven’t really tried the automatic presets and a couple of other inflating features, but it’s nice to know of those and that the unit has an auto shut off feature, I’m assuming to keep cool or to not allow the unit to run out of power. All of the accessories worked well, the detachable inflation tube, the needle adapter for inflating basketballs, etc - it’s all intuitive to use. The unit is stored in an included soft drawstring bag. One thing that you may want to keep handy is a 1’ x 1’ rubber mat or Terry cloth as the unit will not sit still on the ground with the vibration it generates during operation. The included rubber mat is not really useful at keeping the device in one spot, which is important. Since the unit has large power capacity built in, this Inflator has other useful functions as a flashlight and USB power bank (two less things to have to pack for a trip.) The flashlight, of course, is always handy as I use it to confirm the max tire pressure on the tire to be inflated - but it can also serve as an SOS or emergency blinker. I highly recommend purchasing this unit for anyone’s road safety kit. It’s an investment that I feel can pay for itself in a few emergency uses, and just being generally available to use for bicycles and sports equipment around the home, etc. It feels to be built well and similar to other battery-powered portable electronics I’ve used for years. I had been looking at battery operated pumps for the car for a while, but everything I looked at would only have enough power to get a single tire most of the way. I finally decided that is better then nothing, I saw this one had a power cord so it could be plugged in too, figured that is a decent backup if I have that low of a tire. Well, I don't need the cord, I was able to fill 4 almost half low tires on a cargo van that required 42psi in the tires, and it still was around 75% battery. If you need a portable, convenient air pump for short duration inflation projects this is a well-designed and functionally good device. You should expect that size of portable compressor to have limited rechargeable battery like but it is adequate for its intended use and has the advantage of operating off a12v source via the included charge cord.
