Well this is my first attempt at cross stitch. So getting the supplies has been an interesting adventure. Amazon. Walmart. Target. Hobby lobby and Michael's. All have everything. Just trying to find the best deal and good quality items is the hard part. That being said, these guys do feel pretty sturdy. Firm and not flimsy. And getting to pick what color plastic is a little pleasure I enjoy. They perfectly fit my walmart floss container ($3.18 in store or pickup) and I got a total of 103 pieces instead of just 100. Win win. So for $6.29 for a 100 pink floss board card is not a bad deal. P.s. there are also deals if you wanted a winder and 100 floss cards for 7.99. I just didn't need the winder.

Firstly, I love how thick the plastic is on these and feel like they will hold up longer than cardboard or DMC plastic bobbins. I also appreciate them being just a few millimeters shorter than other bobbins because these fit better into storage cases without having to turn sideways. However, I do feel as if there could be better quality control to remove excess plastic from the edges - particularly the bottom of bobbin where there are slits to tuck the thread end into and where it really needs to be smooth to avoid fraying the threads. A few of them, the extra plastic was actually quite sharp (I did manage to cut my knuckle winding one of the less mis-formed bobbins) and sometimes was thick and hard to cut when I was trimming with scissors. Probably 20-30 from each of the two packs I bought had to be trimmed down to use them which is a bit annoying
