  • The Scuba X1 is a BEAST!
UPDATE: I am changing my rating to Five Stars. Last week my neighbor was sandblasting their home and my pool was in the line of fire. I used my Scuba X1 once or twice a day to keep up with the mess. Each time, I was amazed at the amount of gunk, sand and fine debris from the blasting that was captured in the micro filter. If I would not had the X1, I would have had to hand vacuum constantly and then clean my filters because of the fine silt-like gunk in the pool. ORIGINAL REVIEW: This is my third Aiper Cordless Pool Cleaner and the Scuba X1 is a BEAST (I named him Rocky)! The additional micro filter picks up things that no other cleaner picks up. Even if I use it daily, there may not be lots of leaves, etc., in the basket but you can see the silt and sand and anything else that is on the bottom. It's both gross and gratifying! The X1 is quite heavy so the docking station is nice. I have it plugged in close to my pool, so I don't have to carry the cleaner too far. The X1 does a better job at cleaning the walls and waterline than my other Aiper does. It doesn't get stuck on my wall seats or steps like the other one does, so I can put it in the pool and leave it without having to check on it. Again, you can see the proof of the cleaning power in the micro filter. Because of its large size, the X1 doesn't seem to get into the corners at the bottom of my pool as well when cleaning, but it does track the entire pool. It also doesn't have the every-other-day cleaning that my other Aiper has, which I use when I am going to be out of town for a few days. I also notice a little bit of the debris fall out of the cleaner and back into the pool when I pull it out of the water, which can be frustrating. It may just be too heavy for me to lift it quick enough so that doesn't happen, so I'm going to work on that. I've only had this cleaner for a couple weeks so can't speak to its battery retention, but it seems to be more than enough for my pool. I put it on the charger when I pull it out and it's charged again in a few hours. The X1 cleaner also has an app that was easy to set up. I can see where the charging is without having to go outside and check on it. There are some other features that I don't have because I opted not to purchase the additional add-on. As a repeat customer of Aiper, I can say their customers service is great. They answer emails and address the issues at had quickly. It's why I keep buying their products. ... show more

  • Excellent performance!
Color: Gray
What a pleasure it is to finally get a robotic cleaner that actually does what the description says it does. The unit is of sturdy and solid construction. It actually does the "S" type cleaning pattern, which means the coverage is great. No "random coverage" like other units I bought and sent back. It has "sensors" in front to help it know when to turn and stay on pattern. I actually didn't know that my pool floor was so blue! I ran the beast with normal filtration, and the bottom was debris-free. Ok, good. The next day, after running the "fine particle filter" adapter (included with the unit), wow. I thought the darker spots on the pool bottom were just old discolored plaster. The fine dirt and pollen were cleaned, and the pool sparkled for the first time. I combine this cleaner with its sister unit: the Aiper Surfer 2 Robotic Solar Pool Skimmer. The skimmer for cleaning the surface (to get most things BEFORE they float to the bottom) and the Scuba X1 for the floor and walls, and tile. The Surfer 2 SKIMMER (not the Scuba X1) runs on solar with stored energy back-up for 18 hours a day, non-stop. The Scuba X1 I only use once or twice a week with a normal filter, and maybe once every 2 weeks for "fine filtration". It can go for about 2.5 - 3 hours on a charge. And it comes with a charging dock, which is extra with other units. I am not paid for this endorsement. I had ordered 3 other units and returned them until I finally got this one. Other units promised "guaranteed sparkling clean" and "S" pattern. Nope. Just hype. This is a mid-level priced unit, but you get value here. I found the perfect match: The Surfer 2 and the Scuba X1. Congratulations to Aiper. Well done. ... show more

Terrible pool cleaner. Had it in the pool for 40 mins before deciding to return. Not able to climb incline between deep end and low end(rectangular pool/vinyl liner), not able to climb walls, completely lost suction in 20 mins, kept doing the same areas of the pool over and over on “smart” mode, would occasionally do wheelies in the pool spreading all the dirt around, turns randomly seemingly trying to avoid dirt, and the hook broke after the first time taking it out of the pool. Had such high expectations based on all the positive advertising/reviews. Still perplexed by all the positive reviews on here, because I can’t say one positive thing about this product. Would give zero if I could. Beware does not work as advertised! ... show more
