Bought this as a hard drive for my Rivian R1T gear guard. It took about 1 minute for the truck to format and check that the speed was fast enough. The key when looking for a hard drive for a Rivian is the WRITE speed. So be careful to double check when they advertise the speed for a drive that you check the WRITE speed. The only negative is that the cord end that plugs into the USB C needs an adapter that makes that end stick out into the storage counsel more than I like. I will have to find an adapter that bends more. But a great drive for the price! ... show more

I got is 4 months ago and transfer all my photos and movies . I use it once 2 months ago it since fine. now 4 month later my desktop wont read it . its said 'last usb device you connected to this cpu malfunctioned" if your windows doesn't recognize it, your device may not be working property . I return one already because it had a rattling Nosie when i pick it up . now this one is malfunctioning ... show more

This is a real hard drive and not a SSD. However it was really easy to connect to my MacBook Pro. I have it connected to my docking station now an it comes up whenever I plug into the docking station. Verey easy to use to.
